Echo Requests (retired)

Please fill out this form when requesting an Echo, then post it to this entry. The request will be dealt with as soon as possible.

When requesting an Echo induced by a past-life parallel/recurrence, please demonstrate clearly the similarity between the events, as well as the relation between the events and what is returned.

As of September 2013, Tier 2 Echoes can be granted once a month per character. Take care to specify the limitations and/or level of detail to the Echo requested! If you are unsure, suggestions will be gladly offered.

Reason for Echo: What caused the Echo, whether it be by a plot-related trigger or a canon recurrence. For the latter, this must be unusual enough to have been the first time the character has encountered it within Locke City, and strongly resemble a specific event from canon. Picking up a jug of milk from the store will not cause an Echo if it isn't any different than the times the character has done it before.
Type and tier: Physical change, power/ability, mental/memory, or item/creature. Tier 1 are the regular Echoes, and are typically a single memory/ability/item/etc. Tier 2 are essentially two regular Echoes rolled into one, such as an item and a memory or ability associated with it, or two directly-related memories, or so on. Currently only one Tier 2 Echo is allowed per month, so please be sure to note them somehow on your info posts.
What is returned: In the case of canon recurrences, these must be directly related to what has caused the Echo. Stronger recurrences = stronger Echoes.

Player: Joysweeper
Character: Nat/Tash
Reason for Echo: Seeing the pink lights. I know that's before she was apped, but she was in the city and it may have provoked her starting to network-lurk and archive trawl. Is this okay? If not, going to the towers.
Type and tier: Item. Tier 1.
What is returned: A small red crystal on a necklace chain. It's charged with the Force... which basically just means if a psychic character holds it they find it appealing and it glows in the dark faintly.

Reason for Echo: Seeing people all zoned out and suggestible - not being themselves. People being brainwashed, possessed, or mind controlled is a Thing in Star Wars; Tash has encountered possessed people and knew she had the power to free them but not the knowledge of how. Later she did pick up that knowledge/ability.
Type and tier: Memory or knowledge. Tier 1.
What is returned: The sudden thought that if someone is forced to not be themself she can fix it, she just doesn't know how. ...Does not come with the ability to do so.

Reason for Echo: General archive-trawling and picking up on the justified paranoia and alarm re: authority figures and showing powers, strange new items, etc. For more than twenty years the Empire had various policies and branches devoted to hunting down fugitive Jedi and people using Jedi powers. By the time Tash was active and about in the galaxy most people in either category were justifiably paranoid and careful.
Type and tier: Mental. Tier 1.
What is returned: Very strong deja-vu about this situation, like an absolute certainty that she's been in similar straits.

Reason for Echo: Mamoru's post, specifically the part about brains in jars and the comment thread about transferring them into other bodies. As it happens, Tash has been a brain in a jar, and part of a scheme involving transfer!
Type and tier: Physical alteration. Tier 1.
What is returned: The scars on her scalp left by that whole escapade.

Reason for Echo: Watching Emmanuel's footage of the mines trap. Tash once ventured into a mine in space with a number of people so that one of them could try and solve a mystery. It was a trap and the exit collapsed, sealing them in.
Type and tier: Item. Tier...2.
What is returned: The spacesuit Tash was wearing during that escapade. It's got a twenty-five hour air supply and extremely heavy tractor-beam bearing boots. Switched to "pull" they might let her walk up a wall and stand on a ceiling with great effort and some noise. Switched to "push" and she hovers up to several feet above the ground and can walk slowly. They'd be much more useful in lower gravity.

...that's all the archive trawl echoes she's getting, though. Even over the course of some days there's enough that it loses the impact she'd get reading a bit at a time.

Okay! I was thinking Tier 2 for that last one because I wasn't sure the suit would come with the special boots.

So is that approved as-is just with a Tier 1, or without working boots?
