Echo Requests
Please fill out this form when requesting an Echo, then post it to this entry. The request will be dealt with as soon as possible.
When requesting an Echo induced by a past-life parallel/recurrence, please demonstrate clearly the similarity between the events, as well as the relation between the events and what is returned.
As of September 2013, Tier 2 Echoes can be granted once a month per character. Take care to specify the limitations and/or level of detail to the Echo requested! If you are unsure, suggestions will be gladly offered.
As of November 2014, Characters who have had their echoes for over a year can cause echoes in other people This is involuntary, cannot be controlled by either character and doesn't require a recurrence. The receiving character must have 15 echoes or less; they must be physically close to the other character; only tier 1 echoes can be caused that way; one cannot give themselves echoes. Both players must, of course, have consented to this oocly. A character can receive echoes through this mechanic no more than 10 times, and only up to 3 times from the same character. If requesting one of these echoes, please indicate the character from which the echo was received.
Reason for Echo: What caused the Echo, whether it be by a plot-related trigger, a person or a canon recurrence. For the latter, this must be unusual enough to have been the first time the character has encountered it within Locke City, and strongly resemble a specific event from canon. Picking up a jug of milk from the store will not cause an Echo if it isn't any different than the times the character has done it before.
Type and tier: Physical change, power/ability, mental/memory, or item/creature. Tier 1 are the regular Echoes, and are typically a single memory/ability/item/etc. Tier 2 are essentially two regular Echoes rolled into one, such as an item and a memory or ability associated with it, or two directly-related memories, or so on. Currently only one Tier 2 Echo is allowed per month, so please be sure to note them somehow on your info posts.
What is returned: In the case of canon recurrences, these must be directly related to what has caused the Echo. Stronger recurrences = stronger Echoes.

Character: Julien
Reason for Echo: Going on a stealth mission with the intent to cause damage, something Yuuya's done a lot.
Type and tier: Tier one, item
What is returned: A trio of the tiny high-powered walkie-talkies that were used on the Golden Weekly mission. They can work over many miles and despite plenty of things in the way, and don't need a cell phone tower.
Character: Julien
Reason for Echo: Said stealth mission ending in a huge explosion.
Type and tier: Tier one, memory
What is returned: Memory of the Golden Weekly mission, where he and colleagues stormed an office building and rescued a captured band of birds who were being severely ill-used. (their mental energy and fantasies were being used to power a psychic weapon, okay) The building was then leveled dramatically.
Character: Julien
Reason for Echo: Dive-bombing someone to try to keep them from killing someone he cares about. Also something Yuuya's done, usually while armed.
Type and tier: Tier One, item
What is returned: A sniper rifle made for birds. It's only about two feet long and can actually be disassembled and stowed smaller.
Character: Nat
Reason for Echo: Trying to use her ghost-affinity power to persuade or manipulate intelligent ghosts. It's not that different from Force Persuade, on the face of it.
Type and tier: Tier one, power
What is returned: Force Persuade! Tash shows some ability for it, but it can still fail. Distracted halfhearted, or out-of-it people are easiest, and things they'd be inclined towards already are easier commands.
Character: Nat
Reason for Echo: Building and activating her lightsaber
Type and tier: Tier one, skill
What is returned: General lightsaber combat. Tash would have been cannon fodder against Vader, but she's not bad with the blade as Luke taught it. May combine with her danger sense to let her use it to intercept bullets. Any part of the bullet not vaporized keeps going though.
Character: Nat
Reason for Echo: Last lights
Type and tier: Tier 1, item
What is returned: Tash's R5 unit "Sulk". This one's part of the unknown, headcanonned part of her life that I wrote about extensively - I wrote her into two X-wing squadrons, keeping the astromech she was assigned.
Unlike Artoo Sulk doesn't have a whole lot of personality or a massive range of accessories and functions. Especially since it comes with a memory wipe. It responds in beeps and noises when talked to, follows orders, does calculations and stores data, and repairs things, that's about it. Going without a memory wipe while being exposed to new situations might cause both personality and abilities to become more expansive and flexible, but that takes years.
Character: Nat
Reason for Echo: hey someone just got a really flashy flag. The Rebel Alliance, which Tash became a part of, also sometimes went in for flashy emblems and shows of allegiance.
Type and tier: Tier one, item
What is returned: A signet ring bearing the Alliance Starbird.
Character: Nat
Reason for Echo: Climbing into the cockpit of her X-wing
Type and tier: Tier one, skill
What is returned: Piloting skills! Like a lot of Force-sensitives Tash is really good at this, hooking up her Force-senses to intuit her place in space and the best places to be and shoot.
Character: Nat
Reason for Echo: Actually taking off, Sulk in the astromech socket. Tash has done this a lot, usually in a fully functional X-wing.
Type and tier: Tier 2, item
What is returned: The X-wing's shields and weapons systems, including proton torpedoes, are functioning and online.

The exception being Sulk. It is approved as a Tier 2, one tier going to it's physical form and the second going to "being alive", including the beeping. It has no abilities yet.
