I'll say that yes, he finally got his ass in gear and went to school for the degree to become the teacher. He'll have gotten the idea in his head and just been like WELL MIGHT AS WELL GO BACK TO SCHOOL. He probably grudgingly asked his bro for money to afford it and it wasn't the easiest journey but he made it eventually.
