I don't disagree that it's a serious thing, nor that there are consequences. I suppose my only hesitation is that I assumed that being in the system meant she got counseling as a child. Are you just asking for that to be stated?
As for realistic consequences, I believe that building your entire professional career around making sure that you can help others like you is a very real consequence. She's devoted her life to this, I don't believe that is a minor fact. I am just confused as to what you consider a more realistic consequence.
