Echo Requests (retired)

Please fill out this form when requesting an Echo, then post it to this entry. The request will be dealt with as soon as possible.

When requesting an Echo induced by a past-life parallel/recurrence, please demonstrate clearly the similarity between the events, as well as the relation between the events and what is returned.

As of September 2013, Tier 2 Echoes can be granted once a month per character. Take care to specify the limitations and/or level of detail to the Echo requested! If you are unsure, suggestions will be gladly offered.

Reason for Echo: What caused the Echo, whether it be by a plot-related trigger or a canon recurrence. For the latter, this must be unusual enough to have been the first time the character has encountered it within Locke City, and strongly resemble a specific event from canon. Picking up a jug of milk from the store will not cause an Echo if it isn't any different than the times the character has done it before.
Type and tier: Physical change, power/ability, mental/memory, or item/creature. Tier 1 are the regular Echoes, and are typically a single memory/ability/item/etc. Tier 2 are essentially two regular Echoes rolled into one, such as an item and a memory or ability associated with it, or two directly-related memories, or so on. Currently only one Tier 2 Echo is allowed per month, so please be sure to note them somehow on your info posts.
What is returned: In the case of canon recurrences, these must be directly related to what has caused the Echo. Stronger recurrences = stronger Echoes.

Player: DC
Character: Mi(chell)e
Reason for Echo: THE HOUSE IS FULL OF SNAKES I REPEAT THE HOUSE IS FULL OF SNAKES ABORT ABORT
Type and tier: Tier 2, Memory (last Tier 2 was mid-December)
What is returned:
Part 1: She remembers, in vivid detail, looking up at an ominous mechanical figure that's hanging from the ceiling, surrounded by screens. (The sight provokes a strong emotional reaction she has very little context for.)
Part 2: Speaking of context, she now knows that that robot is what she and Wheatley were trying to escape in their Blood Key echo! They were going to shut her (and she knows the robot is female, somehow) down so they could get out of... wherever they were.

I assume that's gonna be a Tier 1 memory, then? That's fine by me! I'll echo back the realization that he was also an immortal in his past life.

Since Ivy's vampire condition only happens at the end of the last novel, I went back to check how fast other vampires seem to heal, specifically Lord Akeldama. It looks like deep wounds can be healed in a matter of hours or less, provided one has ingested enough blood previously. Of course, Akeldama is a very old vampire, so it might make sense that Ivy wouldn't be able to do it as well as him.

What about it taking her a full day minimum to recover from anything like a deep cut or worse? Since she hasn't gotten to the eating people part, she can't actually make it go any faster. And wood-caused injuries heal as slowly as with a human or slower.

(Or since I don't have tier two, would it make sense to combine this with the PP vampires wood weakness?)

Character: Benjamin
Reason for Echo: snaaaakes!
Type and tier: Mental | Tier 1
What is returned: The memory of Ratchet cannibalizing Jetfire's parts to use on Optimus so he can battle the Fallen! No context or names, just a vague feeling that Jetfire was a comrade and had been alive a moment ago, and then Ratchet was ripping off his useful bits and sticking them on another comrade in battle.

Character: Nathaniel
Reason for Echo: Intentionally getting himself mugged by Blood Keys 8')

Player: Bookie
Character: Phillip Santorini/Pharos
Reason for Echo: In music class, their teacher introduced them to Carmina Burana, starting with talking about the meaning behind O Fortuna. That meaning is pretty much the cruelty of Fate, which the teacher explained the concept of, and that plus the whole lyric about the moon in a poem/song about horrible fate..... yeah it's a bit of a canon reoccurance
Type and tier: Tier 1; mental
What is returned: His ability to get really philosophical about fate, and a vague sense that it was very important to his past self.

Reason for Echo: Snakes!
Type and tier: Tier 1; ability? ish?
What is returned: Periodically, Phillip will random appear in the room of any in-game PC (male or female) at midnight and disappear at 1AM. The liklihood of this happening increases tremendously right before and after the full moon.

Yes! That's definitely what I want to do! Fast healing for one half of the echo, wood weakness against the other half.
