Echo Requests (retired)

Please fill out this form when requesting an Echo, then post it to this entry. The request will be dealt with as soon as possible.

When requesting an Echo induced by a past-life parallel/recurrence, please demonstrate clearly the similarity between the events, as well as the relation between the events and what is returned.

As of September 2013, Tier 2 Echoes can be granted once a month per character. Take care to specify the limitations and/or level of detail to the Echo requested! If you are unsure, suggestions will be gladly offered.

Reason for Echo: What caused the Echo, whether it be by a plot-related trigger or a canon recurrence. For the latter, this must be unusual enough to have been the first time the character has encountered it within Locke City, and strongly resemble a specific event from canon. Picking up a jug of milk from the store will not cause an Echo if it isn't any different than the times the character has done it before.
Type and tier: Physical change, power/ability, mental/memory, or item/creature. Tier 1 are the regular Echoes, and are typically a single memory/ability/item/etc. Tier 2 are essentially two regular Echoes rolled into one, such as an item and a memory or ability associated with it, or two directly-related memories, or so on. Currently only one Tier 2 Echo is allowed per month, so please be sure to note them somehow on your info posts.
What is returned: In the case of canon recurrences, these must be directly related to what has caused the Echo. Stronger recurrences = stronger Echoes.

Oh, sorry--I was just assuming that the Sage thing was still going to happen but had just been postponed. That's what I get for assuming ^^ Anyway, no worries, either way!

No problem at all--take all the time you need! I'm just glad to hear the plot hasn't been scrapped entirely because I was quite looking forward to it!

Absolutely, and don't - I do apologize for lack of clarity or clear sense on my part! Mentally, I suppose I'd just framed the grounds as blacking out due to injury - getting back up after his health is depleted is a part of his gameplay in canon, but it does canonically happen to him at the very least once. If that's too tenuous, alternatively, stabbing himself with his own sword - but that's a potential and non inevitable occurrence, and in-canon he does it deliberately out of curiosity on what if anything the damage is, as he's already very undead at that point.

And oh dear I've been missing that this entire time. X_X Settled for the future, then, and thank you!

The trigger scene admittedly hasn't happened yet (there's a thread started for it on the scene I posted, but Anthony-mun hasn't replied yet), but it involves someone under Lyall's protection being injured while in a precarious position and then healed. I don't know yet how badly. There is going to be an echo on Anthony's part too (or it may have already been requested, I didn't check) that I believe gives him some damage resistance or self-repair.

The original scene is part of Biffy's rescue at the end of Blameless. He's been in a prison under the Thames for a few wees, and Lyall and his Alpha rescue him and get him back up to the surface. There's a brief firefight, and Biffy is shot and dying by the time the trouble is over with. Lyall convinces his Alpha to try and turn him to save his life, and the turning works, healing Biffy and making him immortal. The connection is someone under Lyall's protection who he cares about being injured (and of course Lyall is likely to panic and think he's going to die, because he's a biology teacher, not a 300 year old werewolf X3 ), and then healed again.

If that isn't enough of a connection, I'll withdraw the echo request. I just doubt I'm likely to get anything closer to this canon moment :)

The delay is no problem, but I'm not sure what decision you're referring to.

Huh, I guess I misunderstood the intent of the scene. I was under the impression that another character in the scene was healing him. Yeah, that changes the situation quite a bit, so this works better! I'll save the rest for later, and keep the werewolf bite aspect still a mystery :)

Thanks much, I'll go put this up to my info page.

Oh! I'll probably stick with the jacket because Kenji really needs a few more useless echoes ^^

Indeed, if I may I thought that I'd clear up that in the original plan, Joshua Christopher/Joshua Simmons would've gotten to use his healing powers for the situation, but Haley seems a bit busy. Apologies for the confusion.

I still do want to do the one horribly ridiculous spell thing, but how about I just do that later, and for now have her next echo be:

Player: Eric
Character: Marisa Kirisame
Reason for Echo: Intently observing all the various magic statues in the museum, here.
What is returned: A couple of various attempts (some successful, some not) at stealing "borrowing" spellbooks from the Scarlet Devil Mansion.

Player: laura
Character: loki laufeyson
Reason for Echo: art gallery shenanigans
What is returned: given that two of the statues are snakes, I'd like for him to have a somewhat disjointed recollection of an exchange between thor and loki moments before thor's coronation. whilst at this point, I'd rather loki not recall thor's face, he'd recall thor's laughter and remark of how "some do battle, others just do tricks", loki's reaction and subsequent response to the servant laughing at thor's comment, and loki's turning of wine into snakes. (essentially this, from the linked point (0:52) to about 1:30.) the recollection of the name 'loki' is something I'd also like to omit at this point.

ESSENTIALLY JUST THE TRICKERY AND SNAKES THING, REALLY...

Just hanging around. She didn't touch any of them.
