Please fill out this form when requesting an Echo, then post it to this entry. The request will be dealt with as soon as possible.

When requesting an Echo induced by a past-life parallel/recurrence, please demonstrate clearly the similarity between the events, as well as the relation between the events and what is returned.

As of September 2013, Tier 2 Echoes can be granted once a month per character. Take care to specify the limitations and/or level of detail to the Echo requested! If you are unsure, suggestions will be gladly offered.

Reason for Echo: What caused the Echo, whether it be by a plot-related trigger or a canon recurrence. For the latter, this must be unusual enough to have been the first time the character has encountered it within Locke City, and strongly resemble a specific event from canon. Picking up a jug of milk from the store will not cause an Echo if it isn't any different than the times the character has done it before.
Type and tier: Physical change, power/ability, mental/memory, or item/creature. Tier 1 are the regular Echoes, and are typically a single memory/ability/item/etc. Tier 2 are essentially two regular Echoes rolled into one, such as an item and a memory or ability associated with it, or two directly-related memories, or so on. Currently only one Tier 2 Echo is allowed per month, so please be sure to note them somehow on your info posts.
What is returned: In the case of canon recurrences, these must be directly related to what has caused the Echo. Stronger recurrences = stronger Echoes.

In Arhu's canon, "active power" means hyperstrings, the lines of power that make up the universe's energy, powers spells, enables worldgating, etc. If that doesn't exist in this version of the universe, or it would take a different form, I'm totally cool with that ^^ It's not like he'll have any idea what it is, anyway.

Canon has given no specific limitations to time spent sidled as far as I can tell, though there's a warning that spending too much time in alternate planes leads to forgetting one's self, which is implied takes several weeks. As an initial echo, I'm perfectly happy limiting the time to, say, an hour? Half an hour? Whatever you feel is reasonable!

Reason for Echo: Contact with a cave nasty
What is returned: A pigeon heart. ...Scaled up to fit his body, so he doesn't die. And I guess relevant vein and artery alterations so different pressures and so on don't cause complicated medical issues. Still pumping human blood, though.

Proportionally a pigeon's heart is more than twice the mass of a human's, more muscular, designed somewhat differently. It's more efficient, pumping more blood per beat, and it's slower at a resting rate, but better at beating faster for a long period of time.

I'm inclined to say that he'd only see such things connected to what he has directly interacted with then (e.g., the point where he sidled), if I'm understanding correctly and you catch my drift.

How about either an hour all together, or as long as Arhu is specifically concentrating on staying that way? Up to you.

What is returned: Salarian biological/medical knowledge - Mordin will suddenly be aware of an alien species called salarians, and will know their biology as well as he did in his previous incarnation.

Reason for Echo: Seeing the Earth Sage
What is returned: Physical Echo: Either through combat (e.g. being hit in the mouth) or simply by force his canine teeth fall out (mmm, attractive!) and pointed teeth grow back (relatively quickly) to replace them. He will probably assume they were baby teeth that never fell out until more of his history comes into play.

Reason for Echo: meeting the sage!
What is returned: he already has his newtype ability (and i got former permission to have it develop slowly without further echoes) but i think this is major enough to warrant one. he'll get back the extremely heightened spacial awareness aspect of the ability -- it'll still work in the same way, being able to read the intent of an action rather than the physical action itself. in canon he was not only able to tell that he was going to be attacked, but when asked what was attacking, he was able to narrow it down to one mobile suit and another formation behind it, before it'd even pulled on his own suit's sensors or become visible to naked eye.

Reason for Echo: canon recurrence by being trapped in the mine!
What is returned: the memory of all his classmates being incinerated by one of these babies after they had gotten trapped inside their home space colony when war broke out. he was trying to find a way to safety before the robot forcibly blasted through the locked bay entrance to gain access to the colony.

What is returned: Spire, aka the drop-a-rock-on-it spell. As I mentioned when I jumped the gun, this canonically looks like a man-sized lump; I'm willing to tone it down, but I leave how much to your discretion.

All righty :) Would you prefer that mean those strings of power aren't THERE or just that he can't see them? As in, if he moves around while sidled, can they hurt him, or are they for intents and purposes unable to affect him at this point?

Hmm. Let's go with specifically concentrating, which will probably be significantly less time than an hour. He can get better at it later :B

So, think I'll instead go for Diabound being able to be physical again for short periods of time, again with it leaving Bakura kinda wiped out after. This should help get the gang out of the cave and not be something he's going to use much because it's a huge drain on his Baa at this stage of the game.

What is returned: Rounding out this, in that she will finally be able to fully summon her XIII-2 gladius gunblade to her with enough effort. Included are even more magic feathers, but even though it will disappear again if separated from her for too long, she can't willingly dismiss it. Also, it'll still be stuck in the default sword form... and she will have neither the strength nor the skill/knowledge to properly utilize it yet.

What is returned: A weak version of shunpo. He'll only be able to cover a distance of five feet, and will need to wait at least two minutes before he can do another one. Additionally, since he's in no way used to moving this fast, he'll wind up with motion sickness after even a single use.

The power sounds as if it should be approvable - but to understand its nature, if it has a fixed size and appearance, is the rock something he conjures/summons, or is it something he pulls from nearby?

However, before we formally stamp the first, what would be the range and limitations of his spacial awareness?

Reason for Echo: A number (!) of possessed bats are going to bite down on her arms.
What is returned: Starscream's laser canons. This is complicated to make work (argh Teal, y u always ask for complicated Echoes) so it comes with a few caveats:

> This will cause her arms from the shoulder down to become robot arms. It wouldn't make a lot of sense for her to just be able to shoot lasers from her squishy human fingers without the appropriate subsystems in place. She won't be any stronger than she is now with these, and in fact for a few weeks she'll be significantly clumsier at delicate tasks

> Because the lasers require energon to work, she's ONLY going to have enough power to get through this cave event. after the cave event is over she won't be able to fire them unless she somehow gets energon. the guns/arms will be there, of course, but they won't have enough juice to fire. The arms can pull off her natural bioelectricity well enough that her arms will work, just no laser canons until she learns how to create energon again (which won't be for a while)

I UNDERSTAND THAT THIS FEELS LIKE TWO ECHOES. If you guys feel that this is way too much, I'd like to propose that I retcon my last Echo (which was to give her back some of Starscream's scientific knowledge) and just roll both of them into one echo (So she got robot arms in a delayed fashion from meeting the Sage, and the lasers from the bats) if that works for you. She hasn't used that knowledge at all yet, so it wouldn't really change anything.

as for the first: it's not a really precise skill and he mostly just kind of feels his way through it, but in the interest of not overdoing it, i'd probably range him at being able to sense things from about a half-mile off? down from the likely several he's capable of in canon. i'll go ahead and limit his ability to tell things apart, too, so instead of being like 'THERE ARE 70 PSYCHOTIC BATS' it'll probably be more like 'THERE'S A LOT OF SOMETHING WE SHOULD PROBABLY MOVE.' basically think of it as a danger barometer rather than a method of devising something useful, like a battle tactic.

That... hmm. Canon never feels the need to go into that kind of question... Given it looks the same for both Felix and Isaac, and whether they're on ships or in sandy deserts or in volcanic swamps, I'm going to go with "conjures/summons".
