Please fill out this form when requesting an Echo, then post it to this entry. The request will be dealt with as soon as possible.

When requesting an Echo induced by a past-life parallel/recurrence, please demonstrate clearly the similarity between the events, as well as the relation between the events and what is returned.

As of September 2013, Tier 2 Echoes can be granted once a month per character. Take care to specify the limitations and/or level of detail to the Echo requested! If you are unsure, suggestions will be gladly offered.

Reason for Echo: What caused the Echo, whether it be by a plot-related trigger or a canon recurrence. For the latter, this must be unusual enough to have been the first time the character has encountered it within Locke City, and strongly resemble a specific event from canon. Picking up a jug of milk from the store will not cause an Echo if it isn't any different than the times the character has done it before.
Type and tier: Physical change, power/ability, mental/memory, or item/creature. Tier 1 are the regular Echoes, and are typically a single memory/ability/item/etc. Tier 2 are essentially two regular Echoes rolled into one, such as an item and a memory or ability associated with it, or two directly-related memories, or so on. Currently only one Tier 2 Echo is allowed per month, so please be sure to note them somehow on your info posts.
What is returned: In the case of canon recurrences, these must be directly related to what has caused the Echo. Stronger recurrences = stronger Echoes.

What is returned: Seeing the smoke and fire from the explosions will bring back her memory of Scadrial's environment, ash falling from a sky filled with clouds of black smoke and the red sun. I didn't think of this when writing her app but, if it's okay, the ability part would basically be the lung capacity of somebody adapted to that world. In other words, a boost in lung capacity and the ability to breathe easily in smoke and gas (unless said gas is also an irritant like, say, tear gas, or has some other effect). She won't know she has this until actually exposed to a situation where she'd realize it.

What is returned: The much discussed ultimate attack of the ordinary magician Marisa, MASTER SPARK!

Reason for Echo: snake statues eventually, in the same log as above!

What is returned: a charged, appropriately scaled down, and human-sized beam saber! to be returned to normal gundam-sized later by another echo, most likely! it needs to be recharged and without the reactor of the gundam itself, it won't be able to do this, so it's only good for a few uses.

tier 2 because it'd introduce the minovsky particle to the setting. albeit briefly, because the way the beam saber works means it only emits previously stored particles rather than creating them itself. (though if any scientisty types on either end of the spectrum, numbers or non, want to get in on studying it for the time it's active, i'd be happy to oblige. apparently the particles have a decent lifespan once released.)

Reason for Echo: canon recurrence. seeing the DD bombing aftermath on the news.
Type and tier: tier 1, memory.
What is returned: the memory of watching torrington go up in flames (linked in at the relevant few seconds) from the unicorn's cockpit. he'll remember the massive red mobile armor, but not its pilot.

What is returned: This harness thing Yuuya wears sometimes as a secret agent. ...It's probably got more straps than that. Feathers hide harness straps pretty well with IRL birds. It has loops and things to hold weapons and keep them from swinging around when he's in flight, and a pouch pocket thing for his iPon. The whole thing is quite durable and well made.

Yuuya's quite a bit smaller than Julien, but since pigeons are very deep chested and Yuuya's a bigass uplifted pigeon it... actually fits Jules, more or less, with some adjustment.

Reason for Echo: Getting near enough to the Dead District to "feel/see" the snakes. And then hauling ass out of there.
Type and tier: Memory, 1.
What is returned: Running away from home, the first time, back when she was a little girl. She just remembers leaving because she felt trapped, and not being able to see where she was going.

Reason for Echo: She went to peer at the snakes, back...datedly...I was waffling on what echoes to pick for them both. :|b

What is returned: Her FLARP manual, covered in soot-scrawled "t0ck"s.

What is returned: The time she encountered the Lancelot at Narita! An intense battle between the white robot and her Guren ensued. This also comes with an inexplicable frustration (dislike?) towards the pilot of said white robot and learning the mech's derisive nickname — "that white helmet".

What is returned:
Seeing the snakes triggers back his ninja skills. Which basically entail a lot of fast movements, quick fighting, jumping, and hiding. This includes the use of shuriken, and a blade, but not the full arsenal of ninja weapons (not yet).


Reason for Echo: A conversation discussing motorcycle cops with attitude problems.
Type and tier: Tier 1 - Memory
What is returned:
The memory of a close friend from his canon, namely the motorcycle detective Gunmax, who had a terrible attitude problem, in addition to being a cop on a bike. He won't recall a lot of specifics just yet, only that he was good friends with someone who fit that description, their name, and that they were a robot. ... also that Gunmax spoke often in horrible Engrish, because that's just funny.

What is returned: A Metavirus card and the memory of creating the Drillroid. As he still lacks a supply of Enetron, he won't be able to use the card--but he'll know how.

What is returned: The knowledge of how to manufacture Energon (what fuels the Transformer race and powers their weapons), but not what it's called or what it's for. (Though it'll likely be easy enough to determine it's some sort of fuel source.)

What is returned: Spoilers plus content warning for violence: A memory of having a trial in the rubble of a bombed courthouse due to a threat from someone who took hostages. Said trial was the retrial of a seven year old case involving sabotage and murder. He'll remember the overall premise to the case and its original ending and his current theory on the case for the retrial, though not the end result. He'll mostly remember that he thought Athena stabbed her mother to put a stop to being a test subject, had a robot place the corpse on an operating table used to repair robots and planned on dismantling the corpse when Simon Blackquill found her.

A spoiler free summary of that is basically the premise for the trial of case 5 in Dual Destinies and his theory on the defendant's crime that he presented to the court.

Reason for Echo: This event with Ryan after seeing his glowing eyes.
Type and tier: Memory 1 (2??)
What is returned: Jamie's going to remember a few collective things, for one he'll be remembering titans. Not much about them, just that they are something to be feared, they are large, they are warm.. secondly, and most importantly that Ryan is one of these titans, however a special one. Jamie will know he's seen those eyes once before, they belong to no one else.

What is returned: Her soul-self, usually manifesting as a large black ethereal raven. I'm thinking that for now, this will grant astral projection with a time limit of five minutes, along with limited telekinesis--only strong enough to move about 50 pounds of weight at a time. It'll be tied to her emotional state, meaning involuntary power flareups will be common pending further echoes.

Reason for Echo: Investigating weird seismic events going on around an iconic tower with Brooke! This mirrors a scene in canon where their past selves worked together to shut down an underground rocket...laser...drill ouroboros...thing underneath Titans Tower.
Type and tier: Tier 1, memory
What is returned: The memory of that scene!
