What is returned: Passive Templar abilities. #1 is Mental Fortress: it gives him a major boost to mental resistance, and makes any form of mind-control incredibly difficult. He'll have to actually learn how to train it to get to the '/shrugs off magister's spell' levels of canon, but it's a damn good start: anything he does succumb to has a lesser effect than it would have on others. #2 is Righteous Strike: if he hits a mage, he'll drain their mana. (Considering it's all passive and he has no idea he has it, he'll have to learn not to playfully punch any mages in the arm. :|;; Just saying.)
(If either of these would be better suited to be their own tier 2 echo, I can definitely go with just one!)
