The mental change ties in because later in the comic, because he considers Kat to be an angel, he starts watching over her for what he deems is her own good. She has no idea he's watching her and Shadow even comments it as being creepy despite his good intentions. His entire mindset about her is triggered in that one instance, and only gets worse from there, so I figured I could combine the two without giving him double memories, though I suppose I could give him a different angel memory (there are plenty of instances) in order to have them more closely related.
