The Cruxis Crystal is kind of a big deal so I'm going to explain why I've chosen it! Canonly, Colette is actually born with the stone in her hand (ew gross) and I'd like to follow along canon with her echos and how things effect her. So that's number one! The Cruxis Crystal is, essentially, a power booster/body enhancer and eventually what allows Colette to become an empty vessel for the Goddess Martel. Everything she'll be getting later hinders on the Cruxis Crystal.
Of course, right now, the Cruxis Crystal will give her no additional powers - it'll just be a pretty piece that she'll think her grandma picked up at a yard sale and decided to wear. However! While the Cruxis Crystal will be dormant as far as powers go for now, canonly its touch without a Rune crest leads to Colette developing a disease called Chronic Angelus Crystallus Inofficium. It occurs when the body of a Cruxis Crystal bearer rejects the crystal and takes on a crystallized form, and is very rare, happening to one in a million. Of course, Colette develops it, and they eventually need to create a Rune crest for her. As of now she will not have the Rune crest - only the Cruxis Crystal is coming along for the ride. So I'd like for the only effect of the crystal at this point to be beginning to slowly poison her. There would be no effects of this for quite some time, but the sooner I can start it the more development I can give it! \8D/
