Echo Requests (retired)
Please fill out this form when requesting an Echo, then post it to this entry. The request will be dealt with as soon as possible.
When requesting an Echo induced by a past-life parallel/recurrence, please demonstrate clearly the similarity between the events, as well as the relation between the events and what is returned.
As of September 2013, Tier 2 Echoes can be granted once a month per character. Take care to specify the limitations and/or level of detail to the Echo requested! If you are unsure, suggestions will be gladly offered.
Reason for Echo: What caused the Echo, whether it be by a plot-related trigger or a canon recurrence. For the latter, this must be unusual enough to have been the first time the character has encountered it within Locke City, and strongly resemble a specific event from canon. Picking up a jug of milk from the store will not cause an Echo if it isn't any different than the times the character has done it before.
Type and tier: Physical change, power/ability, mental/memory, or item/creature. Tier 1 are the regular Echoes, and are typically a single memory/ability/item/etc. Tier 2 are essentially two regular Echoes rolled into one, such as an item and a memory or ability associated with it, or two directly-related memories, or so on. Currently only one Tier 2 Echo is allowed per month, so please be sure to note them somehow on your info posts.
What is returned: In the case of canon recurrences, these must be directly related to what has caused the Echo. Stronger recurrences = stronger Echoes.

Character: Chris Starsky / Starscream
Reason for Echo: Going after some Blood Keys after they mug her beloved uncle (IN THE FUTURE) (SOON)
Type and tier: Tier 2, Memories / Personality Change
What is returned: Chris will first off get back memories of the five million year long Third Cybertronian War
Unfortunately, we know JACK SHIT about this in canon, save that it was brutal, bloody, killed something like 99% of the planet's population (no, seriously) and ended with Cybertron a barren wasteland.
Human brains are not designed to handle five fucking million years worth of memories. Chris will thus not actually be able to comprehend all this -- the memories are there (in the bits of her soul that have become a Spark) but not really accessible as a coherent whole. She'll know that:
> She was a Decepticon, in her mind an embattled rebel faction fighting the status quo against a tyrannical and oppressive somebody-or-other, and that toward the end, they were winning.
> Pieces of horrible, horrible bloodshed. Well, energon-shed, but the memories will be about the same as anyone who's been in a horrific war.
> This war was what left Cybertron a wasteland (she knows this from a previous Echo)
> A horrific sense of a totally incomprehensible abyss of time. five million years is really long.
All of this won't be something that happens all the time, because to be honest she's going to try not to think about it. Every so often though, she's going to alternately feel way too old, and yet simultaneously like she's way, way too young (twenty-eight years? that's NOTHING.)
In addition to this, and adding on to her already increased sense of bravery/foolhardiness, Chris will obtain a very disconcerting disconnect from the act of killing. It'll seem totally, completely mundane and routine to her.
OBVIOUSLY this won't happen until she encounters the Blood Keys, as planned in ~the future~
This will end in the deaths of some Blood Keys. I do so love consequences.
