The Locke City Forensics Laboratory is a medium-sized facility located roughly a mile from the city police department. The lab contains a mix of equipment and technology - some of it old, some of it new. Technically the lab is independent and nonpartisan, but naturally most of their business still comes from the police or other law workers and so the lab has a good working relationship with those agencies; scientists from the lab often handle evidence and/or testify in legal proceedings regarding their findings. The lab is also involved in some research, although not everyone who works there participates.
