He's there to try and convince Minato to kill him so Minato and the rest of SEES won't have to worry about the fact that the world is going to end and there is nothing they can do about it. Ryoji transforms into Thanatos to try to convince Minato that all he can bring to the world is death, and Minato refuses to kill him anyway. Ryoji transforms back into himself and they return to the lounge.
