Player: Kd7sov Character: Felix/Fred Vandenberg Reason for Echo: Meeting on the spaceship Type and tier: Ability, 1 What is returned: Way back when, Fred got a limited form of the Spire spell - specifically, one that would summon a half-sized rock. I'd like to upgrade that to the full version.
Reason for Echo: Blackout Type and tier: Ability, 1 What is returned: Sand is a spell exclusive to Felix, which lets him turn himself and the rest of the party into a pile of sand, whereupon they are able to travel along any continuous region of existing sand. (If he attempts to cast it when he's not standing on sand, there's no effect.) Notably, this allows them to bypass obstacles, including walls, that sit on the surface of the sand, as long as those obstacles don't penetrate down into it. The spell even allows movement up "waterfalls" of sand, which are oddly common on Weyard. While in sand-form, characters are only able to see and move (at about a normal walking pace) - they can't, for instance, fight or cast additional spells. Felix can cancel the effects at any time.
Obviously, this is a bit powerful for a single T1 Echo. My thought is to restrict it to Fred himself, with a one-minute time limit, and he'd have to figure out movement-as-sand from scratch.
