Durandal is a short staff maybe half as tall as kid!Chrono, so we'll call it maybe a two-foot scepter. As a Sealing Device, it can't think for itself, but it can answer simple direct queries, and it has a significant effect on focusing magic. While Chrono's magic doesn't really have an affinity for any particular element, Durandal itself is tuned for ice attacks.
Along with this, Kevin will get back Device 101, and his first spell: Stinger Blade, an offensive magic that creates swords of blue light. At some future point, he'll regain the second mode, Stinger Blade Execution Shift, which fills the sky with swords in a rather absurd fashion. The standard version generates a few swords, which can be guided before and after launch, with some focus. It's fairly efficient in terms of power, fortunately. Aside from this spell, Kevin will get back the basics of using a Device, namely that they're specialized computers, and that they have standby and active modes (and how to dismiss and call a Device).
Reason for Echo: Being close to ground zero as Toushirou activates his bankai, which scatters a frozen mist in the air as part of its setup. Type and tier: T1: Memory What is returned: Kevin will remember that he has a spell called Eternal Coffin, that it scatters frozen mist around the battlefield, and that he can collect it together to basically flash-freeze something. Even the information he's getting suggests it's powerful, but more importantly, that he doesn't have the control right now to cast it safely at all. He won't get back how to shape the magic to get it to cast, anyway, so that's not exactly a problem.
