Yes, I absolutely do want the additional echo, and agree wholeheartedly with the necessity of limiting it (since the last thing I want is to play a Gary Stu!)I will use it responsibly and sparingly; at present I can't think of too many immediate applications for it, but as endgame approaches there might be something he can benefit from learning rapidly. How about something like using it once per month to acquire a significant skill (learning a new language, becoming an expert on cartography, ski master etc) or twice per month to acquire more minor skills (proficiency at tying knots, knitting, card tricks)?

I'd define a "major" skill as something that would ordinarily take a person years of dedicated practice to accomplish, and a "minor" skill as something that a person could get the hang of in a couple of weeks of dedicated practice. With endgame in progress he won't have the chance to do this very much, but it'll be cool when he can!
