Here it says that you can have a nonhuman show up in their closest terrestrial form (like one of the pigeons from hatoful boyfriend just being a pigeon.) and gain an echo of sentience. But on the application it explicitly says that the character's reincarnation appearance must be human.

Just to be sure, which one is wrong?
