Please fill out this form when requesting an Echo, then post it to this entry. The request will be dealt with as soon as possible.

When requesting an Echo induced by a past-life parallel/recurrence, please demonstrate clearly the similarity between the events, as well as the relation between the events and what is returned.

As of September 2013, Tier 2 Echoes can be granted once a month per character. Take care to specify the limitations and/or level of detail to the Echo requested! If you are unsure, suggestions will be gladly offered.

Reason for Echo: What caused the Echo, whether it be by a plot-related trigger or a canon recurrence. For the latter, this must be unusual enough to have been the first time the character has encountered it within Locke City, and strongly resemble a specific event from canon. Picking up a jug of milk from the store will not cause an Echo if it isn't any different than the times the character has done it before.
Type and tier: Physical change, power/ability, mental/memory, or item/creature. Tier 1 are the regular Echoes, and are typically a single memory/ability/item/etc. Tier 2 are essentially two regular Echoes rolled into one, such as an item and a memory or ability associated with it, or two directly-related memories, or so on. Currently only one Tier 2 Echo is allowed per month, so please be sure to note them somehow on your info posts.
What is returned: In the case of canon recurrences, these must be directly related to what has caused the Echo. Stronger recurrences = stronger Echoes.

However, Echoes not caused by plot events can only be obtained the first time a character has a particular experience that would cause one - otherwise in theory they would've already gotten an Echo from it. Is this the first time Alan has gotten into a shouting match like this? If not, then is it especially similar to one he might've gotten into in his past life? If the answer is yes to either of those questions it'll be good to go.

Reason for Echo: Canon parallel - Monroe meets up with Nick off the network in this WIP thread to prove that Nick isn't part of some weird delusion. They walk through a dog park and talk about the weird things happening to them.
What is returned: The canon memory of walking with Nick through a dog park where Nick explains the weird things that have popped up in his life this week. Monroe won't remember any of what they talked about; he'll remember having a trusting friendship with Nick.

Reason for Echo: Canon parallel - Nick meets up with Monroe off the network in this WIP thread to prove he's not a delusion and prevent Monroe from telling people about the network, while walking through a dog park
What is returned: The canon memory of walking through a dog park with Monroe while discussing something that Nick confided in him (although not what was confided and no actual snippets of conversation), with the accompanying feeling of trusting Monroe

While it's not the first time Alan has been in a shouting match, this is the first time he's shouted as loudly as he does in the canon parallel - it's a ridiculously high-volume shout that he's only been goaded into attempting thanks to octavia's competitive yelly bullshit.

Reason for Echo: Hours of stunned skygazing, trying to become familiar with the daystars.
What is returned: A degree of a kind of spirituality-ish regard, related to the starry sky.

In HB the souls of the dead travel among the stars until they can reincarnate. They are or can be somewhat aware of what the living are up to. Yuuya knows this and at a couple points expresses a hope that "the stars" will bless someone. He never seems reverent, but this is Yuuya - he never does, and he's made his peace with that sort of thing.

Reason for Echo: Not realizing that he now has a dietary need for blood, Alex effectively starves himself until his survival instinct kicks his butt into gear. Alas, Ravi happens to be the closest living thing when this happens. This parallels an instance in his past-life when Alex similarly let himself starve to the point that his instincts took over and turned on Ravi.

Previously, he had been subsisting on animal blood. The first taste of human blood triggered a thirst for human blood.

edit: In his previous life, he actually feeds off of Ravi. In STE, he doesn't get that far -- Ravi knocks him out.

What is returned: Human blood lust, oh noooo.

Reason for Echo: Plotty eventy stuff in the form of GIANT PURPLE SCORPION AAAA
What is returned: Her most important, character-development-integral moment - the memory of the man she loved. Just that video, no surrounding context.

Oh actually this might qualify for a canon recurrence too so

Reason for Echo: Canon recurrence - Alan is going to kill the giant scorpion, and as indicated in the original PM it will unleash a fuckload of gross bug guts and blood and ugh.
What is returned: A memory of another time Octavia saw an oversized arachnid get violently killed and splatter its innards everywhere. (Au revoir, Spidermom.)

What is returned: A vague memory of a guy who also had a cat named Mia (who looked almost exactly like this Mia). He won't remember his name, or any specific events, just what he looked like and how attached he was to his cat.

Reason for Echo: Purple scorpion attack, hello
What is returned: His inventory! ...without any understanding of how it works whatsoever, so basically sometimes he'll pocket a thing and it'll just vanish into the abyss never to be seen again, and sometimes he'll try to pull something out and SUDDENLY A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT THING THAT SHOULDN'T EVEN BE THERE. Someday he'll figure out how to access it on purpose and find a whole ton of useless crap in there.

Reason for Echo: Seeing the pink light.
What is returned: A part of his energy blast creating power, (seriously I do not know what to call it). Basically he can create some kind of energy blast while wielding a blade, which when in full control has the power to level buildings. In this case the most he will be able to do is level a room, and he will have absolutely no control over it when it first appears but will gain it over time. I'd say a couple months before his control is pretty good and then a couple of more after that before he's really good at it.
