Echo Requests (retired)
Please fill out this form when requesting an Echo, then post it to this entry. The request will be dealt with as soon as possible.
When requesting an Echo induced by a past-life parallel/recurrence, please demonstrate clearly the similarity between the events, as well as the relation between the events and what is returned.
As of September 2013, Tier 2 Echoes can be granted once a month per character. Take care to specify the limitations and/or level of detail to the Echo requested! If you are unsure, suggestions will be gladly offered.
Reason for Echo: What caused the Echo, whether it be by a plot-related trigger or a canon recurrence. For the latter, this must be unusual enough to have been the first time the character has encountered it within Locke City, and strongly resemble a specific event from canon. Picking up a jug of milk from the store will not cause an Echo if it isn't any different than the times the character has done it before.
Type and tier: Physical change, power/ability, mental/memory, or item/creature. Tier 1 are the regular Echoes, and are typically a single memory/ability/item/etc. Tier 2 are essentially two regular Echoes rolled into one, such as an item and a memory or ability associated with it, or two directly-related memories, or so on. Currently only one Tier 2 Echo is allowed per month, so please be sure to note them somehow on your info posts.
What is returned: In the case of canon recurrences, these must be directly related to what has caused the Echo. Stronger recurrences = stronger Echoes.

Character: Danny Fenton
Reason for Echo: the magical pink light show!
Type and tier: tier 1
What is returned: In ghost form only, his organs will basically come to a standstill. He will have no heartbeat or lung functioning, none of that. However, he will continue to breathe, etc. out of subconscious habit.
aaaand NOW LET'S TRY THIS ONE OUT:
Reason for Echo: the tuning towers.
Type and tier: tier 2
What is returned: This is essentially going to be two ability echoes, both of them related to Danny's intangibility. First, he will gain the ability to turn his entire body intangible instead of just bits and pieces, and he will be able to sustain it for longer (maybe a few minutes, tops?), rather than it being a split-second occurrence.
Second, and here's hoping this isn't too much: he will gain the ability to possess people, which is a direct extension of intangibility. There is no physical indication that the person is being possessed, and they only have very vague memories of what happened while they were possessed, as though they weren't paying attention. People can definitely fight it off as well with enough willpower.
It feels like just giving him THE FULL POSSESSION is a bit much though, even for a tier 2, so I'd propose that for now, it's easier than usual to force Danny out altogether, and even while possessing them, characters can still force their own small motions through (say a phrase on their own, make a movement, etc.), although they will still have pretty vague memories of the whole thing. Lastly, I'm going to say that the longer Danny possesses a person, the less control he has over them. Depending on how much they fight and factors like Danny's energy levels, he will lose the ability to control them more and more until the person's actions, speech, etc. are mostly unimpeded. Shortly after that, Danny will simply be forced out of their bodies with a good chunk of his energy sapped (depending on how much the person fought him, etc.) If this is too much, let me know if this whole echo won't fly or if you guys have suggestions to
weenifylimit it more somehow! This will only be done with player permission, of course, and I will coordinate with all possessees before Danny makes any significant actions (i.e. anything more than some casual conversation) in their bodies to make sure I don't edge into godmod territory.
Also, he still does not have perfect control over the intangibility. He's gotten better about it through practice, but he still can and will accidentally go intangible at times.
