Echo Requests (retired)
Please fill out this form when requesting an Echo, then post it to this entry. The request will be dealt with as soon as possible.
When requesting an Echo induced by a past-life parallel/recurrence, please demonstrate clearly the similarity between the events, as well as the relation between the events and what is returned.
As of September 2013, Tier 2 Echoes can be granted once a month per character. Take care to specify the limitations and/or level of detail to the Echo requested! If you are unsure, suggestions will be gladly offered.
Reason for Echo: What caused the Echo, whether it be by a plot-related trigger or a canon recurrence. For the latter, this must be unusual enough to have been the first time the character has encountered it within Locke City, and strongly resemble a specific event from canon. Picking up a jug of milk from the store will not cause an Echo if it isn't any different than the times the character has done it before.
Type and tier: Physical change, power/ability, mental/memory, or item/creature. Tier 1 are the regular Echoes, and are typically a single memory/ability/item/etc. Tier 2 are essentially two regular Echoes rolled into one, such as an item and a memory or ability associated with it, or two directly-related memories, or so on. Currently only one Tier 2 Echo is allowed per month, so please be sure to note them somehow on your info posts.
What is returned: In the case of canon recurrences, these must be directly related to what has caused the Echo. Stronger recurrences = stronger Echoes.

Reason for Echo: A planned Blood Key encounter w/Xander
Type and tier: Item | Tier 1
What is returned: His preincarnation's basic knitting supplies.
He has never even held a pair of knitting needles before in his life.
Reason for Echo: And then I am piggybacking off that one. At an undecided date but definitely within the next couple weeks, Ravi will actually make an earnest attempt to use those knitting supplies.
Type and tier: Ability | Tier 1
What is returned: His preincarnation's knitting skills. He is pretty good at it! Not like superhumanly good but like 'your aunt who knits everyone presents for Christmas every year' good.
Reason for Echo: That key tattoo that the Blood Keys have on their breastbones seems pretty visually reminiscent of the black patch that Blighted have over their heart. Obviously he has seen plenty of tattoos in plenty of places over the course of his career, but it'd be the combination of where it is + seeing it more than once and recognizing it as a way they're marked for what they are.
Type and tier: Memory | Tier 1
What is returned: Just the term "Blighted", the bit about the black patch over their heart to mark them, and the idea that they are very dangerous and evil and generally not something you want to fuck with.
Reason for Echo: Seeing firsthand the superhuman speed/strength/durability of the Blood Keys in action.
Type and tier: Memory | Tier 1
What is returned: He will remember the Li Heng Te breaching the walls at the Battle of Arithea. They are also superhumanly enhanced (by magic instead of cyborg tech) and increased speed/strength/durability is basically their whole shtick. He won't remember what they're called, but he will remember that they are so dangerous it's basically suicide to take one alone.
I feel like I'm cheating to piggyback three canon parallels off a plot echo opportunity, I'm sorry!!
