Please fill out this form when requesting an Echo, then post it to this entry. The request will be dealt with as soon as possible.

When requesting an Echo induced by a past-life parallel/recurrence, please demonstrate clearly the similarity between the events, as well as the relation between the events and what is returned.

As of September 2013, Tier 2 Echoes can be granted once a month per character. Take care to specify the limitations and/or level of detail to the Echo requested! If you are unsure, suggestions will be gladly offered.

Reason for Echo: What caused the Echo, whether it be by a plot-related trigger or a canon recurrence. For the latter, this must be unusual enough to have been the first time the character has encountered it within Locke City, and strongly resemble a specific event from canon. Picking up a jug of milk from the store will not cause an Echo if it isn't any different than the times the character has done it before.
Type and tier: Physical change, power/ability, mental/memory, or item/creature. Tier 1 are the regular Echoes, and are typically a single memory/ability/item/etc. Tier 2 are essentially two regular Echoes rolled into one, such as an item and a memory or ability associated with it, or two directly-related memories, or so on. Currently only one Tier 2 Echo is allowed per month, so please be sure to note them somehow on your info posts.
What is returned: In the case of canon recurrences, these must be directly related to what has caused the Echo. Stronger recurrences = stronger Echoes.

Reason for Echo: Inspiring Alan to take his powers seriously and fight for those who don't have the strength to do the same (This is an echo to a similar conversation Reiner has with Eren, where he talks to Eren about the importance of being a soldier and fulfilling his duty, which in turn inspires him to take his training more seriously.)
What is returned: The memory of the original speech itself, as well as the fact that he was a soldier (though not what kind or anything specific)

What is returned: Reflexive, involuntary, violent reactions to sneak attacks, or even sudden movements around him in his sleep. This is most effective when the timing is comedic.

What is returned: She'll be exponentially more likely to insist on people using her full name/introduce herself with her full name.

What is returned: John recalls the following conversation:

Mitchell: You have such a redundant view of the world. God made man in His own image. What if that included His rage? And His spite. And His indifference. And His cruelty. What if God made us too? We're all his children, you see. God's a bit of a bastard. Look at us both. Covered in other people's blood and talking about morality. But there's one difference between me and you. You had a choice.

The woman is named Lucy, and while he'll remember her face, he won't recall her name or her importance to him.

Reason for Echo: Canon echo/trying to push away people's concern/get them not to be involved with his problems [since he's never really had friends before post accident, this is a new thing. Normally he just blows off strangers for being scams. This time he's trying to keep new friends at arm's length because of not wanting them to get burned which is a direct canon parallel.]

What is returned:Memory of Bakura Ryou's first day of school at Domino when he told Yuugi-tachi why he couldn't be friends with them [because bad things always happens to people who try] and then ran away.

Reason for Echo: Poor Life Choices^TM. ie he ends up having a Thing he needs to be coherent for the morning after a bar crawl and is desperate enough to try one of Arthur's bogus hangover cures.
What is returned: The actual ability to cure a hangover using Templar magic.

This works off of a basic detox spell and he could theoretically figure out how to apply it to non-hangover things. At current skill level it would only work for low-level toxicity, ie anything the body can pretty much safely process on its own given a day or two. (So he could sober someone up but wouldn't be strong enough to cure alcohol poisoning.)

Followup question pending approval: would it work to cure the effects of whatever's been added to the water?

What is returned: So in Homestuck the characters have a specific colour that identifies them. Dave's is red: his font is red, his clothes are almost always red, his eyes are red, his world is covered in lava, his symbol is red-- you get the point. Thus: a sudden, inexplicable obsession with the colour red.

Reason for Echo: Tap water again, but the re-experiencing a memory echo.
What is returned: Her only echo first echo, in which Avery gets a canon parallel from harassing someone on the internet with references to her hypothetical dick, triggering a memory of being male.

Reason for Echo: Ye olde laughing water.
What is returned: A memory of Mana squeeing over Rikka being awesome, which comes across only vaguely, and much more clearly: "I love you, Rikka!" (Culture note for severity: Mana uses the word "daisuki", which places that declaration either at "best friends forever" or "actual confession".) She will find this funny for a full one second before the implications hit her and she starts to panic. Winter gets no further context.

What is returned: An asauchi (nameless zanpakutou onto which Shinigami imprint their energy; for all intents and purposes, a very durable katana) and knowledge that SWORDS ARE SOMEHOW IMPORTANT.

Reason for Echo: Canon parallel Shou and Riku chase each other around with guns which is something that Sho and Son does in the movie.
What is returned: The memory of the shoot out with Son (just not the death part just them running around shooting at each other), though he has no idea who the other guy is or what they are fighting about, only that he was both angry and disappointed at him for betraying his friendship.

What is returned: His canon strength, or at least some of it - as a rasetsu, he's got some measure of superhuman strength that canon is kind of crappy about actually defining the power of, though I don't think it's anything super ridiculous. And some measure of his more toned physique from his previous incarnation (he's not Mr. Universe or anything, he's just got better muscle tone than his reincarnated nerdself does), because I enjoy moments of maximum "what the hell."

What is returned: The memory of Eren killing two of the men who kidnapped her and then urging her to finish the third, and of picking up the knife to do it. She won't have the context of how the situation came about in the first place, just the stabbity part.

What is returned: The memory of the final stage of the Zero Requiem, in which he took on the role of Zero and killed Lelouch. Suzaku will not recall the context, nor why the memory comes with quite a bit of despair.

What is returned: Moving like Yuuya!

Yuuya was extensively trained to move like a dancer or, well, a spy - lightly, with a degree of grace and deftness. He can walk quite audibly if he wishes, but it's second nature to move basically silently regardless of the surface, despite being bulky and possessing scaly clawed feet that should click on tiles. While human-shaped that should mean he can be difficult to hear even in non-silent footwear. On tiles.

There's a more unusual aspect to Yuuya's stealth, but we'll leave that for a later echo.

Reason for Echo: Canon recurrence! Being forced to cover for a gigglefied Aaron at the clinic.

Yuuya runs the school infirmary whenever the doctor is away. At such times it always gets swamped, but Yuuya's able to take care of patients and prioritize. Bleeding everywhere? Stomach pains? Head stuck in something? He's got it. Though if seriously trivial things, like someone wanting a place to nap, are brought to him he may be less than cool in telling them to wait.

What is returned: Ability to prioritize/handle a bunch of medical things at once. Not Yuuya's level of ability exactly - Julien only knows so much about the topic from observation and can't cover as completely for Aaron as Yuuya can for Shuu. But he'll be calmer in this kind of situation(despite still adjusting to his eyes) and won't need nearly as much direction as he would before the echo takes effect.

Okay, I said I wasn't going to put Regina in the water plot but I changed my mind!

Character: Kallen Kouzuki/Regina Akamine
Reason for Echo: Tap water event
What is returned: The memory where she's encouraged by a mysterious man in a tacky fishbowl mask to fight in a bright red robot with a huge claw. The scene in question is here; it ends at 5:27. Basically, she'll see the aforementioned guy in a mask and robot, complete with a weird-looking key, plus hear mentions of resistance groups and some weird names that she has absolutely no clue about. Very scarce context aside with little knowledge on battles.

If the above is too much, then just a brief flash of Zero complimenting her on her piloting skills, mentioning himself using a "Burai" and telling her that she has a reason to fight. Again, little to no context, and Regina won't have any idea why she feels somewhat happy and encouraged by this weird man whose face she doesn't know.

Reason for Echo: He spends an entire night being exposed to Alex and his pointy little fangs during their bar crawl. It's the first time he's been exposed to fangs--actual fangs!--in person, and the reality of the existence of the supernatural finally sinks in over the course of the evening.
What is returned: He recalls the first time he encountered a vampire. John also remembers that the guy's name was "Herrick."

Reason for Echo: Kallie and her face and her voice.
What is returned: This hug. Everything you see in that gif, including the surroundings.

Lightning is a source of comfort and inspiration to Hope, so just seeing her face would normally be enough for Hope to relax and be happy, and the famous hug scene is one of the best scenes for that. It's also the first hug they had, in fact. ... Of course Miles wouldn't get why the heck he'd be relaxing around this woman when it's her voice that told him to eff off, but my point still stands.

Also, Kallie looks pretty tired here, and most likely so does Lightning, as the hug comes immediately after a difficult boss battle they both participated in.
