While we try to get to each app in a timely process, ultimately speed may depend on busyness and the need to discuss some apps before a decision is made. Regardless, if your app has not been seen to within a week of its submission, or if it's been three days since you answered a request for revisions, please feel free to drop us another line here or by some means of mod contact here!
We apologize that you find this method messy, but it is the method we are using. As stated above, if your app has not been checked within a week, then feel free to contact us about it.
Thank you for speaking up! This is a legitimate concern and we apologize for how the plotting of Proud's kidnapping went down. We'll take this into account for the future.
There is a general blanket ban on time travel at the moment. However, the Sun Song Luke plays to travel to the next noon/midnight, while technically time travel, is severely limited by the fact that Luke cannot move nor travel back.
Hopefully that answers your concerns. If not, feel free to reply!
Edit: To clarify, the Sun Song temporarily freezes Luke and only Luke in time until the next noon/midnight - that is, he perceives himself as moving ahead in time.
Anon, the thing with the snake attack was that, unlike the earthquake, it had little significance aside from the fact that it granted an echo to those who wanted it. The main point of that log had been to determine who would participate in the farmhouse attack and to show Proud's overall instability.
Additionally, the log with the attacks has slowed quite a bit and backtagging is more than welcome. Perhaps a day in advance can be given to permit things to be planned out in a more thorough fashion, however most of the people in the attack were those who already planned to be at the farmhouse to begin with and a spur of the moment attack would have spur of the moment planning on the IC side of things, as well.
The plot post had gone up quickly and been implemented just as quickly, but just because something went up quickly does not mean you cannot take time to plan/jump in. We are always more than happy to accommodate people if they feel that they cannot jump in. Really, just ask us and we can stall a thread/plan out how to help make a log work for you! We can even potentially keep a snake half-dead just so it can attack people who arrived fashionably late so long as we are told that such an action be necessary.
So yes, being given a day to plan is not unreasonable, but also remember that we do want to keep everything IC, too. A sudden attack, an unimportant one at that, doesn't require as much planning as something on the scale of the earthquake, which SHOULD have necessitated a greater amount of planning. Finally, remember to just come talk to us. Send a pp or pm and we can help involve you in the plot/accommodate your needs. Really, we don't bite and are happy to lend a hand.
Lack of trust and ICness are two very different things. A lack of trust would mean us holding the hands of every player as they did everything with big brother's eyes constantly on them. If we didn't trust our players, there would not have been any attack to begin with (without a week of planning at very least) because we would not have trusted the players to not do something like godmode all the snakes into exploding and ICly killing every PC there unless they were godmoded into surviving. We know how annoying that is and we would not do such a thing to the playerbase. ICness only means that things flow in a more natural manner when permissible. Sudden attack of a very small scale and not important given the grand scheme of things = not too much plotting in advance and that sort of a deal.
As for the suddenness of the attack, a similar incident had taken place during the Halloween Party where Vermaxi had attacked out of nowhere. That tone had been even less serious than that of the farmhouse given it had been a costume party, and at the time, people seemed to thoroughly enjoy the sudden attack despite the fact there was little warning and it changed something completely innocent into something more serious. The farmhouse, on the other hand, already had a serious atmosphere to it with a good level of commitment considering the fact this had been to plan out a very large scale plot in game, namely the raid on the farmhouse. There had also been an announcement of the gathering itself followed by another post for the attack plotting.
Again, we wish to work with the players and we thank you for bringing us your concerns; we will take them into consideration.
Thank you for bringing this concern to our attention! We will be instigating a backdating limit on plot-related posts. We'll probably bundle it with another announcement that's in the works at the moment.
We apologize to you and the other players who were inconvenienced by the backdated post announcing David Proud's death and thank you for your willingness to retcon.
Thank you for bringing your concern to us! We are looking into it.
Edit: After discussing the issue with the player, we've decided to maintain Louis' acceptance in the game. The player has used side-material to supplement his canon-reliant sections. We have cautioned the player to avoid an over-reliance on head canon Echoes.
Hello, anon! Your concern was brought to us yesterday, the 24th. Please exercise patience as we look into this matter. Thank you!

While it has taken more time than it definitely ought to have and even piecemeal updates and alterations to the rules and game info and shifts in policy will need to be more clearly-presented as they come and/or formalize, we by now have updated versions of both the F.A.Q. and Rules pages which will be going up officially noon today (with the Season 2 launch post!).
We sincerely apologize for the trouble, but do appreciate your leaving this comment - it's strong re-emphasis and reminder of where we an area where we will need to keep figuratively planted and ready to take due actions and measures.
We understand and apologize for the cause for concern! However, hopefully it is some assurance to let you know we've discussed the matter extensively beforehand with relevant parties, and for a very specific purpose; we'd not have accepted it if this had not been the case.
Also, Blood Keys do indeed still grant Echoes - but still do not attack at random. Encounters must be in passing, with player Blood Keys, or by other plotting/arrangement.
The Echoes in the requests pointed to were treated as canon reoccurrence with support from the relation with characters who the reincarnation knows/knew in their past lives.
It draws a wiggly line and splits hairs along a straight, hard guideline - but cleaner-cut and -given, better-standardized Echo requirements are to be discussed and set with the new modteam.
The rules have been treated with too much lack of consistency and "the best you can get" room. In any case, they are going to need to be expanded - with more that should and should not be viable, period, and rules on classes or Tiers for types of proposed trigger.
