Echo Requests
Please fill out this form when requesting an Echo, then post it to this entry. The request will be dealt with as soon as possible.
When requesting an Echo induced by a past-life parallel/recurrence, please demonstrate clearly the similarity between the events, as well as the relation between the events and what is returned.
As of September 2013, Tier 2 Echoes can be granted once a month per character. Take care to specify the limitations and/or level of detail to the Echo requested! If you are unsure, suggestions will be gladly offered.
As of November 2014, Characters who have had their echoes for over a year can cause echoes in other people This is involuntary, cannot be controlled by either character and doesn't require a recurrence. The receiving character must have 15 echoes or less; they must be physically close to the other character; only tier 1 echoes can be caused that way; one cannot give themselves echoes. Both players must, of course, have consented to this oocly. A character can receive echoes through this mechanic no more than 10 times, and only up to 3 times from the same character. If requesting one of these echoes, please indicate the character from which the echo was received.
Reason for Echo: What caused the Echo, whether it be by a plot-related trigger, a person or a canon recurrence. For the latter, this must be unusual enough to have been the first time the character has encountered it within Locke City, and strongly resemble a specific event from canon. Picking up a jug of milk from the store will not cause an Echo if it isn't any different than the times the character has done it before.
Type and tier: Physical change, power/ability, mental/memory, or item/creature. Tier 1 are the regular Echoes, and are typically a single memory/ability/item/etc. Tier 2 are essentially two regular Echoes rolled into one, such as an item and a memory or ability associated with it, or two directly-related memories, or so on. Currently only one Tier 2 Echo is allowed per month, so please be sure to note them somehow on your info posts.
What is returned: In the case of canon recurrences, these must be directly related to what has caused the Echo. Stronger recurrences = stronger Echoes.

Character: Thorir / Thorin
Reason for Echo: Wise Snake
Type and tier: Tier 2
What is returned: Dwarven stamina and durability
Reason for Echo: His home settlement getting attacked by a big reptile/serpent type being, complete with people dying and I assume also fires and such due to the structural damages.
Type and tier: Tier 1
What is returned: The complete memory of Smaug's attack on the Lonely mountain up until it was clear that the elves had left the dwarves to their fate.
Character: Sweden / Siiri
Reason for Echo: Wise Snake
Type and tier: Tier 2
What is returned: She can now travel large distances in a short time, as long as there is no large body of water (say, an ocean) between point of departure and end point. She also has the knowledge of how to make the types of longboats that were built in the Mälar/Gotland area now (to cover distances that she cannot walk).
Reason for Echo: Mimi riding on her shoulder.
Type and tier: Tier 1
What is returned: The nation ability/curse that, when beings stay close to them for a prolonged amount of time, some of their nationhood (mostly the immortality) will rub off on them. (Since this drives humans insane, nations make sure to not impose it on them, but animals don't have that issue and the animal that Sweden keeps close tends to ride on his and Finland's shoulders).
Reason for Echo: Almost dying, but not being able to, and then being healed by Akito.
Type and tier: Tier 2 March
What is returned: Full blown nation immortality, and since that is necessarily connected with it: Physical connection to her people (and land): Recovery up to a certain point will be instant, and past that the healing rate will entirely depend on how good Sweden's economy is at that time. Her aging process is also entirely dependent on her nation's growth, which for the moment will only mean that she won't get any older physically as Sweden is very static in the independence/size department right now. In addition, the physical connection means that she's more physically hard and able to stay awake and maintain physical activity much longer than a human ought to, and that she doesn't actually need food, drink or sleep to survive (she'll still crave it, though). It also means that her health is dependent on her economy now, much like the healing rate.
I know this is a big complex, but it all boils down to "her health is now dependent on her economy and the Swedish people's well-being", plus she already had a tier two for the immortality. So I think it should pass? If not, I can probably split it up some way into two triggers, the one of not being able to die and one of Akito healing her.
Character: Blaine / Ymir
Reason for Echo: Wise snake
Type and tier: Tier 2
What is returned: The ability to partly emerge from the neck of her titan. Her titan strength.
If those are not connected enough, the rest of her titan looks along with the ability to emerge from it's neck.
Reason for Echo:Talking about the end of the world with Fuuma and discussing what actions one should take about that. Her opinion here is basically the same one that she seems to have in canon until Christa overrides it.
Type and tier: Tier 1
What is returned: The knowledge that the world inside the walls was going to end, and that the only way to survive was located outside of them.

(Sorry, I'm not sure where that went in the request, I though I had it there.)
