Echo Requests

Please fill out this form when requesting an Echo, then post it to this entry. The request will be dealt with as soon as possible.

When requesting an Echo induced by a past-life parallel/recurrence, please demonstrate clearly the similarity between the events, as well as the relation between the events and what is returned.

As of September 2013, Tier 2 Echoes can be granted once a month per character. Take care to specify the limitations and/or level of detail to the Echo requested! If you are unsure, suggestions will be gladly offered.

As of November 2014, Characters who have had their echoes for over a year can cause echoes in other people This is involuntary, cannot be controlled by either character and doesn't require a recurrence. The receiving character must have 15 echoes or less; they must be physically close to the other character; only tier 1 echoes can be caused that way; one cannot give themselves echoes. Both players must, of course, have consented to this oocly. A character can receive echoes through this mechanic no more than 10 times, and only up to 3 times from the same character. If requesting one of these echoes, please indicate the character from which the echo was received.

Reason for Echo: What caused the Echo, whether it be by a plot-related trigger, a person or a canon recurrence. For the latter, this must be unusual enough to have been the first time the character has encountered it within Locke City, and strongly resemble a specific event from canon. Picking up a jug of milk from the store will not cause an Echo if it isn't any different than the times the character has done it before.
Type and tier: Physical change, power/ability, mental/memory, or item/creature. Tier 1 are the regular Echoes, and are typically a single memory/ability/item/etc. Tier 2 are essentially two regular Echoes rolled into one, such as an item and a memory or ability associated with it, or two directly-related memories, or so on. Currently only one Tier 2 Echo is allowed per month, so please be sure to note them somehow on your info posts.
What is returned: In the case of canon recurrences, these must be directly related to what has caused the Echo. Stronger recurrences = stronger Echoes.

Reason for Echo: Talking with these two numbskulls

What is returned: So canonically, Vector Prime basically got to listen to another character whine and moan regarding himself and his team, and then promptly punched him in the face before beginning a Heroic Speech re; trusting people. I'm pretty sure lecturing these two is right on target with that, and Elian will have another out-of-context speech in his memory. (He won't remember whom he's talking to, just the words themselves, and the intense 'come on, you're better than this' motive behind it)

Reason for Echo: The doppelganger plot's a pretty solid canon recurrence for him.
Type and tier: Memory, Tier 1
What is returned: He'll recieve memories of the events of episodes 43 and 44 of his canon--he won't remember any new names, but he'll get the basics. There was an artificially created Undead called the Titan Undead that was the fusion of two normal ones. Said Undead started using its abilities to mimic the four Riders in turn, trying to turn them against each other (not that they'd ever gotten along very well in the first place). Hajime spent most of the time following Kenzaki around in the hopes of catching him in the act of doing something strange, and he was the first to realize what was really going on. He then was responsible for the plan that led to the monster's defeat; he took his Joker form, pretended to go out of control, and lured the monster into a trap, figuring that the monster would want to bring him down above all else. The Undead was separated and resealed thanks to the efforts of all four Riders combined.

Character: Torin
Reason for Echo: He's going to be fighting his own doppelganger with Aaron, which is also going to be a pretty solid canon recurrence for him.
Type and tier: Memory, Tier 1
What is returned: The memory of fighting his doppelganger, Mad Torin. Mad Torin takes Torin's form for a while and hurts Torin's friends before he is exposed. Torin basically wills himself into the living embodiment of bravery at this point, transforms into Kyoryu Silver, and defeats the monster.

In canon this is a rather powerful weapon against demons and halfbreeds alike, as such it will result in an almost acid like reaction. Tony's more than demon enough now to react to it sob sob.

What is returned: Stefan remembers meeting HIS canon doppelganger Silas for the first time (at the edge of town) the day Stefan graduates high school. Silas reveals his true form as Stefan's doppelganger, and then proceeds to stab Stefan and ask him to "imagine what it would like to be trapped for 2,000" years. While Stefan's in pain, Silas then pushes Stefan into a giant safe and drowns him underneath the nearby lake.

Reason for Echo: Canon recurrence, meeting Xander's doppelganger
Type and tier: Tier 1, Memory
What is returned: Knowledge of his world's doppelgangers: only two lines exist (Petrova's and Silas's lines), created to restore natural balance as they were the first two immortals in human history. They essentially represent mortality - they, after all, are shadow selves of immortal beings who can die. They're also soulmates who find each other every 500 years.

What is returned: The ability to make more vampires. To do so, she will need to drain a fatal amount of blood from a normal human and feed them some of her own blood. Once a vampire, they will share her physical enhancements but not her danmaku based powers like Gungnir. She will not be able to do this to other Numbered without another echo allowing her to do so.

I can approve this with an alteration: She can create vampires from non-numbered that way, but they will not yet share her physical enhancements. She'll have to regain the ability to pass on physical enhancements at the same pace at which she gained them for herself - to be able to pass on ability X that she gained through a tier one echo, she'll have to get a tier one echo for "passing on ability X".

What is returned:Yuuya worked for sketchy doctor Iwamine, who is purely malevolent, uses his position of authority to experiment on students at a high school, sometimes kills and dissects them, and some of their remains end up in plastic baggies in the refrigerator of the cafeteria, some are sold, and the rest disposed of in the incinerator.

Julien remembers all that(though everything past "experiments" is remembered as a suspicion), that Yuuya hates and is often threatened by him and tries to foil his plans, that Shuu is protected somehow, and just what Iwamine Shuu looks like - a giant Chukar partridge.

What is returned: Avian martial arts. ...well, how to fight as a bird, anyway. Yuuya prefers guns, but he does easily knock Ryouta out in one route, and tries to go after Albert without weapons, and it makes sense for spies to be able to fight unarmed at least a little.

Mostly this is knowing how, where, and how hard to hit people with his wings to stun or incapacitate (though he's much bigger than Yuuya and will have to recalibrate to not cause massive damage) without hurting himself. Also, some grappling and wrestling.

What is returned: This scene (ctrl-f starting "Excuse us…", ending leaving and overhearing "…loose-tongued cur!"). It has what his brother looks like and his name and some of his backstory, Yuuya's name, Hiyoko being attracted to him, how big the human girl is compared to the fantail brothers, and a bit about the Christmas Thieves, who are ridiculous.

The first is the backdated one, from when he first saw a wolpertinger at the beginning of December last year, and the second is one triggered by seeing the pink light over London on television (if that's allowed!).
Type and tier: Tier 1 for both if I may. I have no tier 2 echoes in mind.
What is returned: The first would be Bro Strider's shitty sword unbreakable katana, the very same one that he used to slice a meteor in half to give Dave a little more time. For the second, I would like to request a development of the patented Bro Strider sense of humour, and issue apologies to everyone who knows him should this be granted.

About the first part: The watch will not become anything else; echoed items do not replace items that are already in existence. She'll simply end up with two. Also, just to clarify - the echoed item will not have any powers yet: These will have to be echoed separately. Do you still wish to echo the Lunda Dial this way?

About the second part: What exactly about her spacetime ability does she regain?

What is returned:I AM THE SLOW but have finally decided on fully leveled Trickster Style which gives Tony some evasive dashes, a double jump off a wall (I forgot that part when talking to Kira I'm sorry), and a short-range teleport toward enemies. It's mostly just slightly more speedy evasion than he already has with some quick recovery maneuvers, and the teleport of course.

More dashing into walls fun for Tony until he figures this stuff out XD.
