Echo Requests (retired)

Please fill out this form when requesting an Echo, then post it to this entry. The request will be dealt with as soon as possible.

When requesting an Echo induced by a past-life parallel/recurrence, please demonstrate clearly the similarity between the events, as well as the relation between the events and what is returned.

As of September 2013, Tier 2 Echoes can be granted once a month per character. Take care to specify the limitations and/or level of detail to the Echo requested! If you are unsure, suggestions will be gladly offered.

Reason for Echo: What caused the Echo, whether it be by a plot-related trigger or a canon recurrence. For the latter, this must be unusual enough to have been the first time the character has encountered it within Locke City, and strongly resemble a specific event from canon. Picking up a jug of milk from the store will not cause an Echo if it isn't any different than the times the character has done it before.
Type and tier: Physical change, power/ability, mental/memory, or item/creature. Tier 1 are the regular Echoes, and are typically a single memory/ability/item/etc. Tier 2 are essentially two regular Echoes rolled into one, such as an item and a memory or ability associated with it, or two directly-related memories, or so on. Currently only one Tier 2 Echo is allowed per month, so please be sure to note them somehow on your info posts.
What is returned: In the case of canon recurrences, these must be directly related to what has caused the Echo. Stronger recurrences = stronger Echoes.

What is returned: Annie's name, and some fondness towards it (the name, at least.) Ellie will just seem like an Annie to Ryan.

Reason for Echo: Worrying about Bertholdt and telling him as much.
What is returned: A feeling kinship with Bertholdt, like he's the only one who could understand him (though the specific memory I'm thinking is one where Ryan says they're "mass-murderers, who else could understand!??" but... Ryan won't remember that part.)

What is returned: Stupid text styles are dumb and lame, so she'll mostly type as normal. But she'll regain her old self's tendency to start adding a mess of eights into her text when she gets especially flustered or angry!

I figure each of these should count as a separate Echo,but if they don't count separately, then I'll just take the colony memory.

What is returned: Bertholdt will find his Scouting Legion cloak when he gets home from the park. He won't know what it is or why it's there, just that it's familiar.

Reason for Echo: Ryan getting him too worked up and embarrassed in this thread.
What is returned: Due to Bertholdt's high body temperature and the fact he sweats so much, in my headcanon he's able to expel the sweat off his skin into steam when flustered enough, through embarrassment or arousal or whatever. Kind of like a cartoon, his steam just sort of rolls off his skin for a brief moment. It's not boiling hot like regular Titan steam, but it does make the air around him very warm.

What is returned: She'll feel super familiar to him, like a vaguely remembered childhood friend. He'll also guess that 'Ellie' isn't her first name, but that it "probably starts with A."

He will also vaguely be able to recall that Pokémon are some sort of wildlife, but are not like the kind on Earth.

What is returned: The memory of chatting with Reilanin outside of the church while most of the organization sat inside.

Reason for Echo: Getting cool secret emails from Thunder Corp bigwigs
What is returned: Another upgrade to her ability to take energy from living creatures. Now it works on anything that can be considered "living". Mostly this is to include humans, but also canon showed that soil and water counted as well. Still only to current levels, in a person it would at most be to the point of making them feel sleepy and that would pass in about a half an hour or so or if the person eats or sleeps. Obviously it would require permission if used on any player's character. It's not going to work on creatures that aren't considered living (like undead, vampires, robots, etc.) Anything that is partially one of those creatures would have the effect lowered accordingly.

What is returned: A memory of another meeting in a church. Basically the scene where Sasame finds her in a ruined church and she asks him to prove his devotion to her by killing Hayate.

Reason for Echo: The water plot! Getting a bottle of "bottled water" which is actually just frozen tap water has him laughing hysterically in the middle of a farm day.
What is returned: Troll teeth. This is a nice mashup of canon images along with some more detailed sketches. He's the orangey-brown one! And they'll do little more than wreck his lovely braces and cut his lips.

What is returned: In her titan form, Annie was at one point presented with the opportunity to kill Armin. She chose not to, instead sparing him even though it put her cover at risk. I'd like her to vaguely remember this incident, confirming that she really was the female-type titan.

The person she's confronting is none other than her archrival/enemy, Suzaku, but all she'll get are his face, the aforementioned names she uses, and the vague feeling of living a double identity. That's it.

What is returned: Just a brief memory of sitting in a car next to a green-haired girl holding a Cheese-kun plush. Morgan is the reincarnation of Kallen's rival, C.C.

OK so I didn't realize that characters could get more than one echo from a single log, but apparently they sometimes can? So I'm returning to a slightly older conversation. Sorry about this.

Reason for Echo: This log. The conversation they have, about changing who you are to protect others, is pretty close to what happened with Anthy and Dios. She protected him, and became the witch, he was also changed into Akio.
What is returned: While thinking back to this conversation she remembers the name Dios. No other information.

Reason for Echo: Hajime's conversation with the NPC truck driver, especially the part where he calls humans a ridiculous species.
What is returned: Memory of a time he said something similar--but meant it that time. It's a short memory. He'll remember standing up high on something and looking down at an armored figure he remembers from another memory (It's Blade, though he will not know that). He was also in his Chalice form, though he won't recall anything other than "this form that wasn't human and wasn't Joker, yet still insectoid." As he's looking down at the armored man, he says, "I find it bizarre that you humans exist." He will remember saying that, the feeling of disgust towards the humans he had when he said it, and his confidence in knowing that a human couldn't hope to defeat him.

Reason for Echo: Being given some of Amrita's purple roses.
What is returned: A potted miniature rosebush with small, deep violet, strongly scented blossoms. Not of an existing variety and possibly genetically altered, but also not possessed of any special properties. The pot is decorated in ways pleasing to bird eyes and is quite lightweight, as is the hydroponic medium the rosebush is rooted in, but they too don't have secret special properties.

Deeply colored purple roses aren't impossible, but they're certainly not common, and Julien's never seen one in person before. Yuuya associates himself with them to some degree.

Reason for Echo: Going on an investigative mission to the reservoir. As a secret agent, Yuuya was on all kinds of missions all the time, alone or coordinating with teams, and his specialty was information retrieval.
What is returned: His iPon smartphone, a durable water- and fall- resistant model. Made for birds it's smaller and lighter and made of somewhat different materials than anything on our market, and needs only sunlight to recharge. Unfortunately this does not come with the memory of its password, or his skill at bypassing passwords, so it's not at all useful just now.

Yuuya basically always took his phone along on missions, the better to coordinate, keep in touch with various people, and help him hack into things.
