Please fill out this form when requesting an Echo, then post it to this entry. The request will be dealt with as soon as possible.

When requesting an Echo induced by a past-life parallel/recurrence, please demonstrate clearly the similarity between the events, as well as the relation between the events and what is returned.

As of September 2013, Tier 2 Echoes can be granted once a month per character. Take care to specify the limitations and/or level of detail to the Echo requested! If you are unsure, suggestions will be gladly offered.

Reason for Echo: What caused the Echo, whether it be by a plot-related trigger or a canon recurrence. For the latter, this must be unusual enough to have been the first time the character has encountered it within Locke City, and strongly resemble a specific event from canon. Picking up a jug of milk from the store will not cause an Echo if it isn't any different than the times the character has done it before.
Type and tier: Physical change, power/ability, mental/memory, or item/creature. Tier 1 are the regular Echoes, and are typically a single memory/ability/item/etc. Tier 2 are essentially two regular Echoes rolled into one, such as an item and a memory or ability associated with it, or two directly-related memories, or so on. Currently only one Tier 2 Echo is allowed per month, so please be sure to note them somehow on your info posts.
What is returned: In the case of canon recurrences, these must be directly related to what has caused the Echo. Stronger recurrences = stronger Echoes.

What is returned: Caren's coming-of-age ceremony when she was thirteen. This is never covered or mentioned in the manga, but we know she had one because the fact that Lucia had hers late was an extremely special circumstance. It can be presumed that Caren's was normal; there was food, music, fancy clothes, and Caren being surrounded by her subjects. She also would have called forth and seen an apparition of Aqua Regina at the time, though Kari won't remember exactly who or what Aqua Regina was except that she was "the queen". This will probably severely weird her out.

She will still not remember that any of the people had tails, though she will have the sense that the castle was still underwater -- though she'll also shrug that off because this castle had fountains and pools in working order and that just doesn't make any sense.

What is returned: A Leather Whip. +1. (It's not magic, it's just upgraded a little. It's not even a very good weapon for her even after upgrading.)

Sorry for the inconvenience - but the thread as it is thus far in provides a bit too distant of a trigger for the Echo requested; perhaps handling a whip or talking further on how a whip theoretically should be wielded would, if it comes up later in the thread or any other time, do the trick - nudge us again if something more comes up later in the thread that may give Britany the more distinct mental reaction that is what triggers an Echo.

Reason for Echo: Seeing Barnaby Brooks radiating bright blue light on the network.
Type and tier: Physical, Tier 1
What is returned: Innate unicorn magic - Equestria's unicorn ponies are born with magical capabilities somewhat unique to the unicorn. While Cinderella will be unable to put it to use until she grows a horn, she ought to trigger a reaction by any skills, objects, etc. sensitive/reactive to the presence of magic - and while once she does have her horn, its use (which is liable to manifest in occasional spontaneous bursts and flares until she gets the hang of its active use, as it apparently does for baby unicorns - in her case likely accidentally grabbing and moving objects in a telekinetic hold or pulling her in the direction of gemstones and jewelry) will be accompanied by said horn glowing bright blue.

What is returned: The Adult's Wallet, (Can carry 200 rupees.)

Reason for Echo: Cutting grass with his sword during a training session with Toushirou.
Type and tier: Teir 1, Ability
What is returned: Item spawning, currently only rupees, hearts, and magic containers will be found, and only under very specific circumstances. Hearts will heal minor injuries, and magic containers don't really do much at all for him at the moment. Cutting very tall grass and breaking ceramic pots has a low percentage chance of yielding items.

To double-check, might there have been a component of past-life reoccurrence to his first visit to the Towers? Two Echoes can be obtained from two visits to the Towers between the buzzing's start and our current point - if one or both visits served as a canon parallel.

What is returned: For one, Bertholdt's skin has been thinning and flaking off from a previous echo; I want it to actually begin to peel off. Starting with his hands and joints, which bend often, his skin will begin to peel from the muscle beneath. As for the memory: I want him to remember Reiner telling him he has a crush on Annie/Ellie, but he has no context behind the statement. Just, "I know you like Annie, Bertl."

Reason for Echo: This thread, where Octavia basically describes Bertholdt's role in the beginning of the series. Wow so meta.

What is returned: The memory of sundowner bullets: bullets that are manufactured for the assassination of supernaturals. They are made of hard wood and silver, and are dangerous to both vampires and werewolves (well, and humans, too, but specifically those two). This also comes with the implicit knowledge that silver is for werewolves and wood is for vampires.

Before we stamp approval, what makes this instance of allusion to silver bullets particularly stand out in a way to trigger an Echo?

Reason for Echo: Participation in the sewer investigation -- dodging cops in the interference team.
Type and tier: Power/Ability, tier 2
What is returned: The nuclear reactor of spirit energy Ichigo has. It'll make him very easily detectable to anyone who can detect life energy, since he's producing several times what a normal human should. This spirit energy would, in a world with ghosts, give him the ability to see, hear, communicate with, and render ghosts visible to ordinary humans. It also means that, if Mamoru ever leaves his body, repeated exposure to his soul might awaken dormant superpowers, if those superpowers are related to manipulation and weaponization of one's soul/spirit energy. This is an unlikely scenario, though, and would likely only apply to Bleach characters.

He has no idea how to use it, has no training using it, and it's at the level it was at the beginning of canon.

Type and tier: Physical/skill, tier 2
What is returned: Aragorn's tracking skills. They're worth two Echoes because Aragorn is a good enough tracker to follow trails that are years cold. It's not supernatural, but it might as well be.

Reason for Echo: Recurrence while heading out with Aaron on a "mission" to investigate the site of the bombing. There are some ways in which Aaron is like Yuuya's handler/superior, Leone J.B. - amazingly sketchy guy who tends to be taciturn and mysterious, definitely on his side, ignores a lot of the silly things Juliyuuya says but pays attention when he's got something serious, is his superior and an older veteran, simultaneously looks after him and sends him into danger. And smokes.
Type and tier: Memory/knowledge, Tier 1
What is returned: An impression of Leone - the color and shape of his wings, the look of his eyes, the sound of his voice, impressions of his... sort of coat thing, the gold dog tags around his neck, his cigars. And with that, Leone's name and usual alias, Mr. One, and an idea of what they are to each other - independent but Leone ranks him, supplies him, gives him orders, they've been in the field together but Leone's older. The sense that he trusts him, to a point.

Reason for Echo: Encounter with newly-awakened snake statues in the subway.
Type and tier: Tier 1 - Item
What is returned: The Two-Edged Sword, also known as the Two-Handed Sword or Bastard Sword. 'Tis more or less what the terms of reference would suggest - and about as heavy especially to one who's muscles are deteriorating; his past self has to all but drag it after him in canon and can chop a human-sized, human-shaped enemy in half with a swing that he really puts his back into.

Reason for Echo: A run-in with Blood Keys - likely planned along with Ax-Alex and Aria.
Type and tier: Tier 2 - Physical/Mental
What is returned: Step 6/6 into deadness - which is death. Vitals will drop to nothing; he's not going to need to breathe, but will still likely do it anyway through force of habit; and will no longer self-repair - but'll also not be able to be killed finally-finally by damage to anything non-essential. That's to say organ damage and/or loss of blood would be things that wouldn't kill him. He could be killed if damaged to an extent that his body couldn't so-to-speak hold itself up any longer (in canon he's killed either by magic blasting him into submission and/or having his skull bashed in with a mace twice; decapitation is another thing that it'd be safe to assume would kill him) or didn't give his mind anything to attach to (such as in the case of incineration or crushing to death). Unless he's permanently killed, at this point he'll be effectively immortal, in a bit of muddling of terminology.

It's going to be accompanied by the memory of what happened when his past self hit the same point - and the second (or rather first) half of a memory he's already gotten - which is to say he burst into a room, saw that Charlemagne had been murdered, and then died. It is not a very good memory. 8|

The design, save for the beam part of the sword itself, is very similar if not identical to the one that Banagher shows her in construction.

What is returned: The first step of "fighting with soul", that is, keeping one's mind wild a wolf. This only affects situations in which he is not injured, nervous, hungry, angry, or in combat, and does not affect the full moon nights in the slightest. Thus, it is not something that can be used right now, since he can only transform on the full moon.

Chris will remember the name Megatron, and the name will make her blood boil holy christ what a moron. She'll really, really hope that asshole got what was coming to him, whoever he was, what a dick. She won't remember much else, besides a feeling that the dude had some kind of authority over her, and that once upon a time she might have respected him.

* the other 50% is Starscream trying to kill Megatron, or doing the stupid thing himself.
