Echo Requests (retired)

Please fill out this form when requesting an Echo, then post it to this entry. The request will be dealt with as soon as possible.

When requesting an Echo induced by a past-life parallel/recurrence, please demonstrate clearly the similarity between the events, as well as the relation between the events and what is returned.

As of September 2013, Tier 2 Echoes can be granted once a month per character. Take care to specify the limitations and/or level of detail to the Echo requested! If you are unsure, suggestions will be gladly offered.

Reason for Echo: What caused the Echo, whether it be by a plot-related trigger or a canon recurrence. For the latter, this must be unusual enough to have been the first time the character has encountered it within Locke City, and strongly resemble a specific event from canon. Picking up a jug of milk from the store will not cause an Echo if it isn't any different than the times the character has done it before.
Type and tier: Physical change, power/ability, mental/memory, or item/creature. Tier 1 are the regular Echoes, and are typically a single memory/ability/item/etc. Tier 2 are essentially two regular Echoes rolled into one, such as an item and a memory or ability associated with it, or two directly-related memories, or so on. Currently only one Tier 2 Echo is allowed per month, so please be sure to note them somehow on your info posts.
What is returned: In the case of canon recurrences, these must be directly related to what has caused the Echo. Stronger recurrences = stronger Echoes.

Reason for Echo: being beaten up by, very specifically, a blond football player in a letter jacket.
What is returned: The memories of being beaten up by one such football player (Dash Baxter) in a variety of ways--simply being punched in the face, getting shoved into lockers, getting atomic wedgie'd, etc. Danny won't remember where it happened or the name of the guy, only what he looked like and what he did to him.

Alternatively, if a bullying montage is too much for one echo, then I'll just go with a fairly generic memory of Dash punching his lights out, and the sense that that sort of thing happened often.

Reason for Echo: After Beat wails on him a bit, he'll see himself bleed ectoplasm for the first time
What is returned: Seeing himself turn into dead person will make him turn even more into dead person! Which is to say, in his ghost form ONLY, his heart will stop beating and he will no longer need to breathe (although for the most part he will continue to do so instinctively)

What is returned: The memory of lying in bed, with Shinji on the floor next to him, turning to Shinji and saying "maybe I was born to meet you".

What is returned: this picture of Misato Katsuragi, much to his confusion. He won't know who she is or anything.

Reason for Echo: this conversation with Kaworu. Essentially Kaworu's rambling about his belief in fate and the like led him to say "maybe I was born to meet you," something his preincarnation said to Shinji's.
What is returned: Memory of Kaworu telling him he might've been born to meet him when he was sleeping over in Kaworu's room.

Reason for Echo: Rhyme's picture of getting killed by a car will spark a vision of the original Isaac and Miria getting rammed by Szilard Quates' car.
What is returned: Specifically, she'll remember the exact moment Quates' car hit, seeing the car itself, the hats she bought falling out of her bag, and what she was wearing at the time.

Character: Isaac Dian
Reason for Echo: Miria showing him Rhyme's picture
What is returned: Isaac will find himself remembering a different event. Hours later, after stealing Quates' car, Isaac accidentally crashed the car into Quates. He will not remember Quates himself or where he got the car from. He likely won't remember Miria's presence next to him either.

I'd also like to know if Miria describing her memory to Isaac without the picture would be enough to spark that echo as well. If not, I'll stick with only his accident with Quates. ~~I'd reach inception levels of echo if Isaac described his memory to his wife, but I don't think I'd take it that far.~~

Aye, that would be an Echception. Which resembles an entirely different word, but back to business.

Reason for Echo: A discussion about a sudden outbreak of pale skin, and the possibility of having been indoors for a very long period of time - Mir's body was sealed for several centuries; when she was finally released from her imprisonment and rage-induced insanity her skin was a very light blue (as in these three icons, among others). In between AT1 and AT2 her skin tone returns to normal.
What is returned: Aforementioned extremely pale skin. However, unlike most skin-color Echoes, this one is reversible; a tan will make the effects unnoticeable (unlike a future skin-related Echo she'll be getting... and that one's going to be embarrassing for her to talk about.)

CRAZY I KNOW. he'll remember the entire conversation (which is basically going over a tidbit-sized portion of the history involving the initial space settlers and what zeon meant to them) and that the person he was with identified herself as 'marida' when they'd finished talking.

Reason for Echo: Victor's post, in which his skin is abnormally pale and his hair is bleached, coupled with his comment about possibly turning into a vampire.
What is returned: That Alex will lose his coloring -- skin, hair, eyes and all -- in ratio to how hungry he is, and vice versa (regain his coloring in ratio to how well-fed he is).

Reason for Echo: Talking to Ryan and spending a lot of time with him as best friends/boyfriends like in canon.
What is returned: While making dinner with Ryan (cooking, like the cadets were made to do in the Training Corps,) Bertholdt cuts his finger really deeply and gets his minor healing back. Steam and everything, but only for things like cuts and bruises.

What is returned: A weakened version of her titan regeneration powers - just enough to deal with minor wounds, and only if she does it consciously. Just a few more episodes, mods. Just a few and then I can take half these spoiler bars away. We can get through this, guys. Together.

Reason for Echo: Getting into a fight with Annabel like a huge loser
What is returned: His fight against the Female-type Titan up to the point where he gets a little knock on the head. He won't remember the context of the fight or Eren's thoughts about it, and will only be vaguely aware of being in titan form.

Reason for Echo: Getting roughed up during the fight
What is returned: A very minor version of his titan healing powers, barely enough to fix cuts and bruises.

Reason for Echo: Mine exploration; she'll be getting down to the buzzing-in-the-head part (and may or may not be involved in a fight, that's still in the air, but either way).
What is returned: I'd like to return a portion of her telekinetic powers. She's shown here shoving a huge meteor with them; that is obviously not the level they'd return at, and she wouldn't have any great skill or ability with them; I was thinking she probably won't be able to lift anything mentally she can't lift physically, and won't really be very accurate and at the start will probably just spend a lot of time trying to levitate pencils with her mind. She'd glow that color red when doing it, if this is approved.

If this isn't okay, I can choose something else. :o

What is returned: Her wings. Which may be huge and bright blue and shed fairy dust like nobody's business, but they're not an instant masquerade-breaker: through means that are never actually explained, Vriska was able to hide them under her clothes even though that shouldn't be physically possible (and it's not just artistic convenience - it's explicitly mentioned in one of the walkarounds that trolls could hide their god tier wings and keep them a secret). She's also shown displaying them through clothes that really shouldn't be able to do so! So, uh. Magical wings that can be hidden or not as the bearer wishes, as long as they're covering them with something? Idk, man. Homestuck.

I think a lot more than absolutely necessary about the mechanics of this stuff okay don't you judge me.

Ideally she'll be able to fly with them (as in canon), but will be unable to do so without leaving an incredibly obvious trail of fairydust hanging in the air. Which means she'll be limited to only doing it in emergencies or in the privacy of her own room. USEFUL, WOW

Due to lol physics, for now the flying will probably need to be restrained to hovering, with the addendum that full flight being possible getting brought in once she has some more god tier abilities? Being able to inexplicably hide them should be kosher, though.

Reason for Echo: Past Life Parallel: Running around the mines with a broom reminds her of the events of Subterranean Animism, which she spent flying around on a broom through deep underground caves.
What is returned: HER broom. The magic one that she used to fly around with will quietly replace the one she brought with her. . This one responds to her mental commands, though it will take a lot of practice to get good at doing this, and without further knowledge of magic she won't be able to use it to actually fly.

Unrelated to this echo, you may recall my earlier request to have her remember the Master Spark spell, to which you replied that I should wait until other people are starting to get some more powerful abilities. Do you think we're getting to that point yet? I don't mind waiting longer, I just was hoping for some kind of status update.

Reason for Echo: The second great mine excursion
What is returned: The memories surrounding his being bitten to turn into a werewolf for the first time. The scene is protecting his family's herd of sheep from a "wolf", nearly dying in the process, and passing out with the beast standing over him. He won't remember waking up yet, but he will have the feeling that he didn't actually die somehow. Important Note: This is headcanon, as it is never described in the books at all except for the general time frame and vague hints about his past, but it seems to fit the occasion best, and it is an important memory for him. If that isn't all right, please let me know and I will pick something else!
