Please fill out this form when requesting an Echo, then post it to this entry. The request will be dealt with as soon as possible.

When requesting an Echo induced by a past-life parallel/recurrence, please demonstrate clearly the similarity between the events, as well as the relation between the events and what is returned.

As of September 2013, Tier 2 Echoes can be granted once a month per character. Take care to specify the limitations and/or level of detail to the Echo requested! If you are unsure, suggestions will be gladly offered.

Reason for Echo: What caused the Echo, whether it be by a plot-related trigger or a canon recurrence. For the latter, this must be unusual enough to have been the first time the character has encountered it within Locke City, and strongly resemble a specific event from canon. Picking up a jug of milk from the store will not cause an Echo if it isn't any different than the times the character has done it before.
Type and tier: Physical change, power/ability, mental/memory, or item/creature. Tier 1 are the regular Echoes, and are typically a single memory/ability/item/etc. Tier 2 are essentially two regular Echoes rolled into one, such as an item and a memory or ability associated with it, or two directly-related memories, or so on. Currently only one Tier 2 Echo is allowed per month, so please be sure to note them somehow on your info posts.
What is returned: In the case of canon recurrences, these must be directly related to what has caused the Echo. Stronger recurrences = stronger Echoes.

(Given the relative availability of sushi recipes, though, the skill to make it is substitutable. The name is not.)

What is returned: Gavin's eyes will flash neon green when he's particularly insightful/angry/emotional etc. This doesn't happen at every instance but Atlus loves their close ups so when Gale is particularly intense in game his eyes flash for a moment, from dull grey-green to neon.

Reason for Echo: Sam hulking out and turning into a ripped huge red demon right in front of her at the Halloween party. Fairly stereotypical image of a demon, but seeing it physically in front of you? Not something you see every day.

What is returned: The memory of Trigon's name and appearance, and that he had some significance to her past life.

Reason for Echo: Later, from the IRC chat--Shiro's comments about being "unholy" somehow, and Tim's response of "Glad you're taking your discovery of your demonic roots with grace and not with an existential freakout at least!"
Type and tier: Tier 1, memory.
What is returned: The knowledge of Raven's demonic roots! i.e., that Trigon was her father and that her power stemmed from him in some way.

Character: Cain Hashimoto
Reason for Echo: Akagi quizzing Cain on what he'd remembered and saying--like an idiot--that he wouldn't let him card him. In the context of Enter's abilities, this is a specific reference to the Messiah Cards and Enter's planting of Card 13 into Red Buster.
Type and tier: Tier 1, item
What is returned: Messiah Card 04--for now, hidden within his body via the weird Sentai computer-bio-magic-science-shut up that the item runs on. It won't do anything until later Echoes.

Reason for Echo: This thread, where the discussion parallels the situation in which he actually got that picture.
Type and tier: Tier 1, memory.
What is returned: Memory of receiving the photograph. The man in the picture is out in the mountains, dying, and he hands the photo to Hajime after begging Hajime to watch over his family. Hajime was confused that the man's only concern upon dying was that his family be looked after. He won't know why the man is dying.

Reason for Echo: Sucking up his fear and running out to go fight some freaky superpowered shit with feigned confidence--something Danny had to do a lot in his early days as a hero.
Type and tier: tier 1, mental
What is returned: A minor 'ghostly obsession'* with protecting the city. It's not going to motivate him to beat the stuffing out of every crook he sees or anything as drastic at that, but it will make him more likely to jump into action and do stuff when Shit Happens instead of sitting at home paralyzed by fear.

Reason for Echo: plot thing from the vermaxi!
Type and tier: tier 2, ability(???) or personality, physical
What is returned: A compulsion to make shitty puns. If he can make a pun, he will have to. He will appreciate every pun he comes across, whether he wants to or not. He will become a punstrosity.

Secondly, he'll be getting back full intangibility powers--unlimited time limit (aside from what is dictated by his energy levels) and the ability to turn other things (or people) selectively intangible if he wants. Although I am still going to limit that one a little bit: he won't be able to turn huge groups of people intangible (I'm thinking 10 people is his limit), and likewise he can't turn like. An entire house intangible. This does NOT, however, improve his possession at all. For the time being, that remains limited.

*Full disclosure, 'ghostly obsessions' are not, strictly speaking, canon. They do, however, fit into the canon seamlessly, as does this obsession for Danny, so I'm sticking with this one.

Reason for Echo: Canon recurrence: Losing his memories of All This Crazyness and then getting them back again are a HUGE canon parallel. Memory manipulation was something he had done to him a lot. Like, "a lot" a lot. "So often that pretty much his entire life before he joins HeroTV is a giant crapshoot of what-ifs and potential untruths and only like three or four things can actually be trusted to be real" a lot. Things that mess with his memories are kind of a trigger-y thing for him, is what I seem to be trying to say.

Reason for Echo: This conversation, in which he is compared to a frog. Canon Arthur would have taken very strong offense at this, and StE Arthur hasn't been compared to one yet.

What is returned: Aquaman had very definite opinions about amphibians--he never did like them. There's a canon instance in which he finds himself yelling and shaking his fist at a frog while shouting "LAND OR WATER! PICK A SIDE!" He'll be getting back that distrust of and dislike of amphibians (not the memory of yelling at the frog, though he'll have very similar reactions) because they can't just pick a side already, along with a sense that he is very definitely on the water side of things.

What is returned: Being able to teleport and take people & items with him while using his shadow mimicry. At this point, he can only take one person or a small amount of things with him; as for teleporting, it would be short-ranged.

Before we formalize approval, for knowledge's sake, what'd be the nature of Xander's teleportation - for example, would it require navigating, so to speak, or would it be closer to willing himself to a certain location if he has some sense of where he's going?

What is returned: WHAT THE FUCK IS ENETRON AND WHAT DOES IT DO. Cain will now know for certain all that he'd been sort of able to vaguely piece together about enetron from other Echoes, along with more details--i.e. that enetron is a powerful energy and fuel resource distilled from natural crystalline sources and usually presented in solid or liquid form, used to provide clean electrical power at a massive scale--serving as a replacement for gas in cars and powering entire cities, etc.
