Please fill out this form when requesting an Echo, then post it to this entry. The request will be dealt with as soon as possible.

When requesting an Echo induced by a past-life parallel/recurrence, please demonstrate clearly the similarity between the events, as well as the relation between the events and what is returned.

As of September 2013, Tier 2 Echoes can be granted once a month per character. Take care to specify the limitations and/or level of detail to the Echo requested! If you are unsure, suggestions will be gladly offered.

Reason for Echo: What caused the Echo, whether it be by a plot-related trigger or a canon recurrence. For the latter, this must be unusual enough to have been the first time the character has encountered it within Locke City, and strongly resemble a specific event from canon. Picking up a jug of milk from the store will not cause an Echo if it isn't any different than the times the character has done it before.
Type and tier: Physical change, power/ability, mental/memory, or item/creature. Tier 1 are the regular Echoes, and are typically a single memory/ability/item/etc. Tier 2 are essentially two regular Echoes rolled into one, such as an item and a memory or ability associated with it, or two directly-related memories, or so on. Currently only one Tier 2 Echo is allowed per month, so please be sure to note them somehow on your info posts.
What is returned: In the case of canon recurrences, these must be directly related to what has caused the Echo. Stronger recurrences = stronger Echoes.

What is returned: She's now got enough control over the earth to move her petrified arm almost entirely as well as if it were flesh and bone. This extends to other earthen things roughly the same size and weight of her own arm, and not much further.

Reason for Echo: Canon recurrence; this ain't the first time Brooke's investigated a weird tower and associated seismic activity with Rachel.

Reason for Echo: He'll be dressing up as Neptune for Halloween and he'll be called Neptune a few times in the process.

What is returned: Brief snippet of memory in which he was standing in front of a fountain, surrounded by people dressed like ancient Romans (because they were ancient Romans and he's just not remembering that part). One of them calls him Neptune and starts bowing, and his response is "HAH! He wishes!"

Reason for Echo: The aforementioned Neptune costume will have a trident. Arthur has never really handled a trident before.
Type and tier: Ability, Tier 1
What is returned: Aquaman's trident-fighting abilities. Of course, without his actual trident, he'll be limited to the crappy plastic one he got for $5 at a costume shop. It's all the terror of Arthur actually having weapon skills without the damage of giving him a weapon.

Reason for Echo: triggered by their meeting for the first time. In previous lives, Sanae actually outwardly challenged Reimu's authority as Gensokyo's only shrine maiden. The two fought in the first game that Sanae is introduced in, and after which time become at least friendly. Sanae actually ends up spending a fair amount of time at the Hakurei shrine outside of doing her normal shrine maiden duties in canon, and there are a few games where she, along with Marisa, is one of the main characters, helping solve incidences as well.

What is returned: Being hit by* a very similar Song Magic spell, called Ar tonelico or Tower Connection depending on the singer. Obviously this was rather painful. Jacqli can obtain this song (under the Ar tonelico name), and a variant of it seems to be standard for any Reyvateil that someone manages to Dive to Level 9 in.

Reason for Echo: Obtaining a replica of the schoolgirl outfit one of the characters (played by herself originally, but she doesn't know that) of the visual novel she's half-Echoing, half-writing wears (she got it commissioned somewhere, whatever.

What is returned: The second part of the VN-like story (the events of Level 2 of her Cosmosphere.

Reason for Echo: This post. Luci will have actually witnessed the tail end of the spell physically, then analyzing it again over the network, which is more of what triggers this than the actual Master Spark itself.
Type and tier: Tier 1, ability.
What is returned: Lux's Spell Thief ability. It's only loosely described in canon, so I'll go into personal interpretation. Lux is able to take spells that she sees and find applications to them given her own power set. This is achieved through study and modification. We see this in her snare move, which is originally stolen from another champion's kit, Morgana.

Technically Final Spark, a spell she has in her kit in-game, is insanely similar to Marisa's Master Spark (to the point where it's generally assumed that it's an homage to Marisa's spell card), but it isn't something she has access to, let alone the capacity to cast offensive-based spells (yet). However, looking at the composition, Luci would ascertain that, you know, it's just light magic focused through a single point and split into its base components, she could totally do that if she had something to channel it through. She's already demonstrated very base concepts in spell creation and dissection when she first figured out her light spells, so she has the ability to think of these things. I'm just giving her the formal skill to make it not be an absolute nightmare to do.

Reason for Echo: Witnessing Marisa's Master Spark.
Type and tier: Memory; Tier 1
What is returned: Vague memories of Yuuka Kazami, the person who actually first used Master Spark, from whom Marisa copied and adapted the technique (though the named ability Master Spark is Marisa's since Yuuka used it back in the PC-98 games which happened before the Spell Card system was invented). Mostly just her name, a vague idea of what she looks like and that she invented the technique.

What is returned: What triggered the Echo is everyone's reaction to him saying someone on the network could have set off a bomb, which is basically to tell him that everything he said is wrong and not to be listened to. This brought a memory of him trying to convince someone a murder occurred in a hangar at an airport, but that someone was convinced he was lying since there was no actual body around (and there was talk about ray guns and futuristic things that basically sounded like made up fiction), and instead opted to have him locked up for being overall suspicious.

This memory comes with an appearance of Jamie, the preincarnation's best friend, so John also gets a very brief memory of meeting him. If that's okay?

What is returned: =/a XIII-2 spoilers: The sight Lightning sees in Valhalla of Serah having died - just the part where her body is kind of kneeling on the ground rather than the whole vision of what happens - coupled with a sense of overwhelming, speechless shock. Basically, just a snapshot of this sight + the accompanying emotion.

Reason for Echo: The network-broadcasted spectacle - and off-network-carried sound - of the Master Spark.

What is returned: Memory of the Sonic Rainboom scene - Rarity fell out of the sky on a pair of artificial wings hamming it up at a fliers' competition at the Pegasus city of Cloudsdale, and Rainbow Dash, who she and their four other friends had gone to see perform in the first place, pulled off her own intended explosion-of-rainbow-light-producing trick in a dive to catch her. She shall remember the long fall, the being caught, and the sound and color accompanying the 'Boom.

What is returned: Two of his signature skills, Mystic Shot, a quick bolt of energy that deals physical damage that an be used rapidly and allows him to use his other abilities more often if it hits and Arcane Shift, which allows him to blink a short distance and launch a homing arrow as he emerges on the other side.

What is returned: The ability to use magic power to regain his demonic form. It has horns and cloven hooves instead of feet, and is significantly more physically fit than a human being. Using it for more than a couple seconds requires a power source of unhappy people.

What is returned: Luci will find an interesting item in Rachel's home (discussed with Zero) that she feels strangely attuned to. It is Lux's staff, used to channel her abilities. As a result, Luci will be able to use LEVEL 1 (of 5) abilities (except for Final Spark, which is still off limits) offensively.


Character: Sanae Kochiya
Reason for Echo: Same as above
Type and tier: Tier 2, ability (ies)
What is returned: Given the vicinity of Kanako as well as the impending danger approaching, Sanae will be receiving a few things; one offensive, one defensive. Sanae will receive her first spell card: Esoterica "Gray Thaumaturgy". Most of her powers are channeled through either Kanako or Suwako's power by proxy; Gray Thaumaturgy is one of her most simple spell cards in many ways, consisting of a small barrage of bullets and six large, star-shaped arrays. On top of receiving the general blueprint of the spell card, she will be given the ability to use it, channeling that power through Kanako (whom I believe will have an echo request incoming pertaining to this once there is a thread for them to tag into).

What is returned: The (severally powered down for now) Hakurei Yin Yang Orbs and a small portion of the divine power of the Hakurei. This includes the ability to control them, but not quite to the extent she normally could. She can't make them shoot bullets of any type yet, or make them grow larger than a soccer ball or even summon more than one at a time, but, since she does have some divine power back, she can make it move and cause some small amount of damage to things and it has it's small mundane utilities like making her able to eat as much as she wants without getting fat (XD).

I'd like the seconds there just before the dialogue starts up, so it's honestly just "oh hey creepy landscape, shiny portal, hey girl in weird armor I guess???" but also with the accompanying feelings Serah would have had at the time upon seeing the sister she'd been searching for: relief, etc.

What is returned: He gains a small portion of his vampire healing ability, just enough that he heals a little faster from damage. Depending on the size of the wound and the amount of damage, it could take a short amount of time to a long amount of time. Like a paper cut will heal in ten minutes, a broken bone would heal in a couple weeks instead of a month. Sort of like that.
