Please fill out this form when requesting an Echo, then post it to this entry. The request will be dealt with as soon as possible.

When requesting an Echo induced by a past-life parallel/recurrence, please demonstrate clearly the similarity between the events, as well as the relation between the events and what is returned.

As of September 2013, Tier 2 Echoes can be granted once a month per character. Take care to specify the limitations and/or level of detail to the Echo requested! If you are unsure, suggestions will be gladly offered.

Reason for Echo: What caused the Echo, whether it be by a plot-related trigger or a canon recurrence. For the latter, this must be unusual enough to have been the first time the character has encountered it within Locke City, and strongly resemble a specific event from canon. Picking up a jug of milk from the store will not cause an Echo if it isn't any different than the times the character has done it before.
Type and tier: Physical change, power/ability, mental/memory, or item/creature. Tier 1 are the regular Echoes, and are typically a single memory/ability/item/etc. Tier 2 are essentially two regular Echoes rolled into one, such as an item and a memory or ability associated with it, or two directly-related memories, or so on. Currently only one Tier 2 Echo is allowed per month, so please be sure to note them somehow on your info posts.
What is returned: In the case of canon recurrences, these must be directly related to what has caused the Echo. Stronger recurrences = stronger Echoes.

What is returned: A very, very brief memory from the first time Snow and Lightning met, where she is glaring at him, cracking her knuckles, and crushing a coconut under her foot with the obvious implication that it is his head. Along with this is the small burst of the nervousness and intimidation he felt in that moment.

What is returned: The partial return of his "Grimmstincts" - namely, he'll be an exceptional judge of character (mostly on whether he can trust someone or not, which will lead to him becoming more easily able to trust people when instinct says they're trustworthy), and will be able to have an incredibly vague sense of 'trouble' when he's walking into a dangerous situation or when someone/something means him harm.

Our apologies for the inconvenience - however, according to our records and a double-check at Bakura's info post, he has indeed received a memory with a similar trigger (talk of Ez's uncle's archaeological work) of the past Bakura's father's involvement in archaeology.

Hit us if a more precise trigger comes up in the thread of course - for example something to specifically "remind" Bakura that one of his past selves' fathers owned a museum - and we shall give it a second look.

What is returned: The portal gun, but I'm asking early in order to clear with the mods whether there need to be any restrictions on it. Its range would of course be limited to within Locke City (no moon shots!), and I'm open to shrinking it further, or even giving her a partially disabled (one-color) version. Since she's not getting the Long Fall Boots for a while, there's an inherent limit on what she can do with it without hurting herself in any case.

If it doesn't count as a Tier 2 by itself, she'll also have the distinct sense this isn't the first time she's escaped from somewhere alongside Wheatley.

Reason for Echo: Plot - Blood Keys team combat with Bakura, Annie, and Russel; December 11th.
Type and tier: T2, Memory + Memory
What is returned: A conversation early in the school year between Mana and Rikka, regarding Mana's recent awakening as Cure Heart, that quickly devolves into a discussion of the (apparently popular with fourteen-year-olds) Oscar Wilde short story "The Happy Prince", with the ending notably left out. Specifically, Rikka summarizes the idea of the Happy Prince, a gold-leaf-coated statue with gems in his sword and eyes, giving everything of himself to those less fortunate, and a swallow that tries to dissuade him from giving so much of himself but eventually gives in and makes the statue's deliveries of his gold leaf and gems to the poor. (Eventually, the Prince keeps the swallow too late into the winter, and she dies at his feet; his lead heart cracks in two at the sight. This isn't relevant for this Echo, though Winter will probably find it out when she hunts down the story... assuming the Oscar Wilde work that it's sourced from still exists in Locke City. A children's book version also exists in Dokidoki canon, for another character to find and read, with the ending intact.)

Coming out of the story, Rikka tells Mana that the pinkette is just like the Happy Prince, and Mana half-jokingly tells Rikka that that would make Rikka the swallow. That memory ends with the image of a red-faced Rikka objecting on principle, and another memory follows: it doesn't seem to be much later in subjective time, maybe a day or two. Cure Heart is standing before Rikka, apparently having just transformed; the shock is plain on Rikka's face. But one spoken line comes through from Rikka, strong with emotion and resolve: "Please, let me be your swallow!" Cure Heart looks back at Rikka with a shocked expression, before it shifts into a confident grin, and an "okay". That's all Winter sees from this one.

[Effective knowledge gains: cementing that Mana is Cure Heart, and the prince and swallow relationship between Mana and Rikka, as declared, because it's played for spectacular ham aside from the actual descriptive value.]

What is returned: Basic knowledge of what the Precure are as "Legendary Warriors" who fight evil, and that she was once one of them. She does not recall her own Precure name yet in spite of knowing she is one, nor any names or appearances of her specific team.

Lily would regain that it is this and its name, and feel that it is a bad, dark, and evil thing to happen, and something REALLY BAD is about to happen to someone and it's probably something she's seen a lot, but... no further information beyond that.

What is returned: His signature weapon-of-light spell, which takes the form of a throwing knife. Basically the magic forms into an insubstantial but tangible blade that persists just long enough to lodge in a target and do some damage.

It is a pretty complex/high-level spell, so it's kind of like being really good at basic algebra and knowing how to solve one type of calculus problem without knowing any of the theory behind it. He won't be able to use it very heavily because he has too many knowledge gaps about efficient spellcasting.
