Please fill out this form when requesting an Echo, then post it to this entry. The request will be dealt with as soon as possible.

When requesting an Echo induced by a past-life parallel/recurrence, please demonstrate clearly the similarity between the events, as well as the relation between the events and what is returned.

As of September 2013, Tier 2 Echoes can be granted once a month per character. Take care to specify the limitations and/or level of detail to the Echo requested! If you are unsure, suggestions will be gladly offered.

Reason for Echo: What caused the Echo, whether it be by a plot-related trigger or a canon recurrence. For the latter, this must be unusual enough to have been the first time the character has encountered it within Locke City, and strongly resemble a specific event from canon. Picking up a jug of milk from the store will not cause an Echo if it isn't any different than the times the character has done it before.
Type and tier: Physical change, power/ability, mental/memory, or item/creature. Tier 1 are the regular Echoes, and are typically a single memory/ability/item/etc. Tier 2 are essentially two regular Echoes rolled into one, such as an item and a memory or ability associated with it, or two directly-related memories, or so on. Currently only one Tier 2 Echo is allowed per month, so please be sure to note them somehow on your info posts.
What is returned: In the case of canon recurrences, these must be directly related to what has caused the Echo. Stronger recurrences = stronger Echoes.

Reason for Echo: Basically this whole post, in which Kari realizes that maybe everybody doesn't suck and she's not the only useful person taking this seriously, and that maybe they have a point about sticking together.

What is returned: The first memory after she blacked out from turning her pearl into a harp. She wakes up to an earthquake that's breaking everything in a different castle than the one she's seen in her other Echoes (less purple, for one thing), and she's plugged into a stasis tube that cracks, allowing her to free herself. One of the three younger girls who she'd been trying to save has brought her pearl -- the harp, rather -- close enough to wake her up, and she's playing it and singing with the other two.

Caren: [It's those three girls...!]

Caren realizes that the girls she thought were useless because they were young and dared to goof off once in a while were actually serious about (...about what? Kari doesn't remember, but it was definitely her own goal as well). She then turns to see two other women around her age falling out of the same type of stasis pods. They have empty shell necklaces that have spaces for pearls; close by is a crown on a pedestal with resting spots for seven pearls, but only two in it, and the colours correspond to the women's hair/eye/clothing/tail colours.

Yes, tails. Kari will remember that they're mermaids.

(This is literally two manga panels. The story in this series is a bit rushed.)

What is returned: The sense that she's been on the other end of a party like this before, and the memory of a girl of maybe 10 opening the door to what looks like a restaurant, and Rikka being one of about a dozen people - herself, Mana, three more girls her age, two boys about ten and six, and several adults - wishing her a happy birthday. The look on the girl's face was not unlike Winter's own expression when she stepped into her house.

Reason for Echo: Blood Keys log with Holly (in progress)
Type and tier: T2: Item + Power
What is returned: The Li Clan's ancestral sword, usable only by those with magical power, and a small sliver of his magical power. Without ofuda or Clow Cards, Ethan won't have any use for the magic yet, except to empower the sword. It's a Chinese sword, and while Syaoran is trained to use it, Ethan will have no idea what he's doing at first. The sword has a sealed form that looks like a pendant; by holding it a certain way and channeling his magic, the user can resummon it at will. Ethan won't know how to put it away or summon it again, though.

Reason for Echo: Holly regaining Sakura's Star Wand, which has a very unique design. A design Syaoran knows a fair bit about.
Type and tier: T1: Memory
What is returned: Part of an explanation from Kaho Mizuki regarding how much Clow Reed knew about the girl who would become Mistress of the Clow. Specifically, Ethan will hear her mention that Clow Reed knew exactly who would inherit the Clow Cards, and took steps to ensure everything would work out. After all, why else would he make the Clow Wand such a cute pink thing? Ethan won't know who Kaho is and won't notice anyone else present, except for a vague sense of a girl holding the same wand Holly's just recovered. He'll also feel Syaoran's lingering dislike of Kaho, but not know why. (I'll look up her specific language for Ethan's info post; it'll probably end up being important.)

Character: Oswald Doyle/Umbrael

Reason for Echo: After being told about this video, Doyle tracked it down and watched it, and seeing a shadow move independently along the wall (where the other one he echoed from was just someone walking into their shadow and disappearing) reminds him of one of the easiest and most common things Umbrael would do with his own shadow. Though he didn't have to enter his own shadow to do it.
Type and tier: Tier 1, Mental
What is returned: A memory of seeing his own shadow, which is really significant because it was more than his primary weapon - it was like another limb, to him.
More relevant to Doyle, though, - it's really obviously not a human shadow.

Reason for Echo: berating a kid This tragically short thread where he talks leadership responsibility and blame with Octavia. This conversation is similar to ones Umbrael had with subordinates he had put in charge - and also himself, at some point. His plans didn't always go as successfully as Octavia's... escape plan, and there were consequences he (or whoever he was talking to) would have to accept, or sometimes plan around.
Type and tier: Tier 1, Mental
What is returned: Umbrael, after a long time of not only outliving his fellow kheliosaurs, but watching them die through less natural causes (sometimes at his own claws), started to triage them in his head in terms of who'd be expendable where and when. Doyle's going to start thinking of people this way too - who could be sacrificed if it comes down to it, what kind of losses are acceptable, and developing the kind of detachment required for that.

Reason for Echo: This conversation with Eren where he's bizarrely focused on how Eren insults him, and other nitpicks. This was something he would do to - well, anyone who talked to him and made those little mistakes. He especially liked to do this with anyone backtalking him or trying to oppose him in some way. Well, 'liked' as in it happened more in those cases - it wasn't always a conscious thing. Just one of those 'if you're going to insult me or make an attempt on my life or rule, could you at least do it in a way that isn't embarrassing for both of us?'

What is returned: Some of Umbrael's old irritability re: little things. ... Yeah he's irritable already, but he'll start becoming more irritable.

Reason for Echo: It hasn't happened yet, but Philip is going to be coming to Hajime's restaurant and giving off crazy powerful scary things vibes to those who are aware of such things. It's about like what Hajime himself would be giving off in-canon in a similar situation.

What is returned: In canon, Hajime basically had the ability to sense the power of other Undead. The ability now would extend to sensing the superpowers of others, more or less that these people did have powers and the relative strength levels of said powers. (Basically, I'm looking at having his encountering Philip triggering the ability and unsettling him with a feeling of similarity though he won't know why he's feeling the latter.)

As clarification before we formally stamp the Echo, will Hajime be able to pick up on a sense of negative vibrations coming off of Phillip without the Echo - even if on a simple unsettled level with the boost to the Echo coming from knowing that Phillip is superhuman?

What is returned: Energize; focusing energy to summon creatures/cast spells/etc. It'll basically feel like a rush of strength/power, a warm feeling inside, and will help her get her breath back.

What is returned: Minor control over wind (to serve as a basis for later abilities); she can create breezes, but hardly gust-force winds. Think more of "where'd that wind come from?"

Reason for Echo: Helene will be mugging a certain old lady, stealing one of her rings, and then tapping it mockingly...the last of which was the trigger to summon creatures in her precarnation.
Type and tier: 2/Physical + Power
What is returned: The ring will promptly transform in to one of her former rings, and summon back freakybird. Freakybird will have no powers of its own, be about the size of a raven, and able to be summoned/dismissed via tapping of the ring. If it's defeated, it will simply disappear, and be able to be resummoned after at least two hours.
